As stated in the topic: can anyone tell me the official base size of a Snotling Pump Wagon?

It doesn't come provided with a base (right?) and I could imagine it being 50*50 (which it was in 6ed, but this base size is no longer used for new units), 50*75 (new Giant base size) or 50*100 (chariot base size).

do you mean that there IS no official base size, or just that you don't know it?

Mount one on a 20 mill base and see what anyone has to say about it! (maybe a snotling on a unicycle with a spiked helmet??)

Pump wagons have the chariot special rule and the rulebook says "Chariots are normally mounted on a 50mm by 100mm 'chariot' base." Personally I'm thinking 50mm by 100mm but go with what fits and go from there I guess.

I just love that idea!

I think Fredox is right though, nice spotting of the rules. 50* 100 mm seems to be appropriate. Gonna look a little awkward with such a small model on such a large base, but lets see if we can make it work.

They go on charriot sizes actually (points at sig).

Pump Wagons look incredibly silly on chariot bases.

I'd recommend the 40x60mm base.

Chariots are typically pulled by 2x25mm wide mounts, the pump wagon is essentially powered by a snotling base.

I'm merely pointing out what GW indicated in their chart. Up to you (general you) to follow it or not.

Chariot base, gives you lots of space to create some truly hailarious contraption.

I think most important is the frontage, which should be 50mm for all I know.
The older base chart says they go on 50x50, but the newer model doesn't fit on that. The new chart says it goes on chariot, but the old pump wagon just looks plain silly on that.

Since I have both the old and new pump wagons pumping around, I decided to place them both on 50x75 (to at least keep them in line with each other) and I think this is estheatically most pleasing, and no-one is complaining yet.

My old pump wagon does look very silly on that charriot base too (heck, it just fits on a 40x40mm base, I've tried :p), so I'm planning on making that base a mini diorama of some sort, some day.

When was that chart published? I'm asking because in that chart, a character on a Royal Pegasus (Personage sur Pegasť Royal?) is required to be mounted on a 40*40 mm base. Now if you go to the english GW site, you will find the Bretonnian Hero on Pegasus (http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/armySubUnitCats.jsp?catId=cat1300220&rootCatGameStyle=) mounted on a 25*50 mm cavarly base....

I'm confused?

It dates from last april (last month, you won't find any more recent -yet, until they finally decide to upload the english version). Flying units in Fantasy have never had consistant basing policies. My bro's pegasus knights came with 40k motojet flying bases, as did my giant bats, and they're not even supported in the rules.

Just because a model comes with a 25*50mm base doesn't mean that's what it needs to be mounted on. GW, how we love thee.

QFT. Rediculous from GW that they can't even provide their own models with correct bases.

This is the best answer you are going to get.

They might be a bit small for the full chariot base but that's what the main book says and if anything it just leaves you with a bigger canvass for some fun converting :D
