Well i decided to stop lurking and actually post something. its nothing spectacular as i'm not a great painter and i have little to no plasticard/sculpting skills, but what i do have is allot of miniatures that need something done with them and a half finished knight paladin that i need to get finished some time this century.

so to start off with i'll post some pictures of the knight so far
first up is the headless front of it
http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b211/prezo/P5260017.jpghttp://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b211/prezo/P5260018.jpg
second we have the back of the thing, and last we have my faveourite part so far which is the engine that powers it
http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b211/prezo/P5260019.jpg

i plan to add a cover over where the arms will go, which will follow the angle of the two bits coming down from the top of it sorta like an angled version of the covers on the warhound ( i was sure i saw a reaver with something similar but i see it wasn't the forge world model so i have no idea now =P) and i'm probably going to buy one of the new sentinels for the cockpit or maby just take the cockpit from my currently broken one(it got knocked off the table a few games ago >.>). It will probably stand in for a leman russ (bringing my leman count up to 5), i was thinking of make it a punisher with a big minigun on one arm and a lascannon or something on the other, might put a magnet on its arms so i can switch out the guns as i make new ones.

next will be my vanquisher that i made a fair while back (its now undercoated and has some red on it)

and a pic of my kasrkin

Comments, ideas, abuse and questions welcome

P.s sorry bout the bad pics... i cant even blame the camera =P

I can't really make up that much of the Knight so I cant comment on that one yet. The Leman Russ conversion looks very simple, but effective!

ZOMG?! Weve got the same paint scheme, lol. So I immediatly love your paint scheme. Also The Knight Paladin, Looks fantastic mate. Just, unless your heading down the road of heresy and damnation lose the 8 pointed stars :P

thanks the knight is a defiler and the stars will be removed. although with the current plan they will probbly be covered up as i'm using them as the building blocks for the shoulders but it doesn't hurt to cover them :D. the knight is probably on hold until i can get some more plasticard from down the local hobby shop. still not really sure what weapons i should mount on the thing its going to probably lead my armored company unless i make multiples of them (and its a possibility if i like how this one turns out) and so will most likely stand in as a russ, maybe i should give it plasma cannons? i don't have an executioner yet, so any ideas welcome on that front.

i also just had an idea for a defiler based transport but i'd need to think a bit harder on that one...

and for the paint scheme i generally alternate between red armor with codex gray fatigues and red armor with brown fatigues. helps break up the monotony... and i have the attention span of a, ooh shinny*wanders off*

An Executioner Knight Paladin/Stand in Russ would probably be your best bet I reckon. You'd certain have no qualms with me if you put it on the table and said that it was a stand in Executioner.

Btw, Those things it MEQ's Alive....:D

But on that note, Are there actually rules for a Paladin? I havent seen any and im a little curious now... Youve shown me that its indeed possible to build one with ludicrous amounts of plasticard....

i also just had an idea for a defiler based transport but i'd need to think a bit harder on that one...

Ive pretty much just gone with red Armour and Grey fatigues, looking at my guardsmen arranged on my shelf, I agree with monotony... But when they hit a City-fight board, BAM they then look fantastic.

helps break up the monotony... and i have the attention span of a, ooh shinny*wanders off*

Im making the mistake of Painting and watching stargate, im at the ratio of One whole season (22 Episodes) to about 5 painted models :p

I think i speak for everyone when I say more pictures!

ok news time. i was reading the tempus fugitives ad mech codex and i saw they had rules for knights in it. personally i like the idea of the warden (i loves me some artillery) chances are high that i would use a list like that on occasion and i was wondering if maybe it would be an idea to make the shoulder pads either have rocket pods ( what the warden is equipped with) on them in addition to the arm weapons or make the shoulder pads actually be the rocket pods. if i made them part of the shoulders it would look good but mean more work for me. if i made them on top of the shoulders i could make them removable and that means i could still make it a standard russ or another variant of the knight if i so wished.

so Warseer! what are your opinions on this matter?

now i'm off to suck my thumb as i cut it removing those omnissah damned chaos stars

Welcome to the Pricepture of the Knights. Simmilar construction to mine i see, stolen idea from Mato Noupa. Cant wait to see it finished. Good vanguisher conversion so far and am interested to see how the Eldar turn out. Consider me subscribed for more

thanks:D but dont expect anything too special. the knight was going to be based off mato noupas but i saw the dark artificiers one and i realy liked its design so i'm stealing some ideas there
