Iam i being an idiot, or did FW once produce 2 Dark Eldar Flyers? I know the Raven still exists, but i'm sure there was a double cockpit type flyer.

Can anyone confirm this, or was it my imagination?

Yep, there used to be two, one with a double fuselage. (the Razorwing).

I wonder why it disappeared

Maybe they didn't sell enough, so they stopped making it.

Admittedly, it did look a bit silly, since it looked like something you could make out of two Raven fighters easily enough.

Although I tried looking through the tables of contents to see which book that model was in, and I couldn't find the book, either.

Edit: Ah, Imperial Armour II, http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/imperialarmour/imperialarmour2.htm, looks to have fallen out of the Forgeworld store as well.

thats because FW updated the rules for these so they no longer do the book, good read tho.

I have a copy of IA vol2.

Some people bought the Razorwing (I know two people who did).

Of course, they bought them just after FW decided to forget about the rules for them.

Here is a pic. It has 2007 rules (Apocalypse datasheet?), that have also leaked to the internet. BTW, the model was discontinued without prior or any announcement. Liked the model, but DE players have to get used to being tortured ;)

I think it would be possible to make one out of a couple of reavers and a Raider kit

FW decided it was a poor design and scrapped it.

They've stopped production of this as well?

No, he meant that DE may take it.

It wasn't in Imperial Armour Volume 2, it was in Imperial Armour II. Big difference - Vol 2 is the hardback Marines & Inquisition book, II is the old softback book with Orks, Eldar, and Dark Eldar.

I gave one back to a friend just 2 weeks ago, it had been sat here waiting to be built and painted.

My friend bought a few years, before they dropped them - typical that he never got to use it while it had rules :P

Over the years theres been many forgeworld models that have come and gone, iv got some discontinued terrain pieces.

Maybe the mould for the model got damaged and as Chaos and Evil said the model was deemed unworthy of being continued.

Possible, but highly unlikely - all the parts for it bar the small piece between the two fuselage are identical to the existing flyer kit.
