Hello all.

Chronicled here will be the creation of my dark elf army for the next round of the Tale of Fantasy Painters.

The army list (still partly a work in progress) can be found here (http://warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=203997).

The first two pictures are of the remains of an old dark elf army that I assembled about 4 years ago. These models will be used and repainted for the new army. (note the layer of dust that has accumulated)

And now onto the new stuff, starting with the most important part of any dark elf force, the Dark Riders.

These are the first three of 12. They are made from wood elf glade guard combined with my bitz box.

Here is a closeup of the first conversion of the old army. This RBT crewelf had his bolt cut snapped off, he needed a replacement.

The second photos are of my sorceress, also from the wood elf range. I like using modeling chain on dark elves, it seems to fit. This particular model will have the chains painted in light non-metallic colours so suggest that she is conjuring them.

The final photo is of my next project, I'll post the efforts I've made on him once I get the new photos downloaded later tonight.

It was a long night...

Not really, I just transferred over computers and it took me awhile to get back on warseer in a posting capacity.

Here are the WIP pics of the lord on dragon. Enjoy.

Oh nice, those chains are a nice touch. Can't wait to see some stuff painted!

You really like that chain, don't you?
Interesting idea and I'd like to see some stuff painted as well.

Do you by any chance have that dragon's original head left over? I'd be interested in that.

You don't even know the start of the chain.

When I get access to a camera, I will post some updated pics; recently I've added three more chains. One on the other back leg(shackles), and one from each horn with a severed head and skull respectively.

I will be painting this stuff with the TOFP, starting with those DR and some of the crossbowmen.

I have all of the old bitz(not on the sprue, I assembled the dragon as a HE before disassembling him as a DE) and am willing to sell/trade for em.
