Just a quick question.

Getting back into wargaming, I'm new to fantasy but have played 40k for awhile. In 40k there's a rule if wounded by an attack that's twice the strength of a model's toughness then it causes instant death. Is this the same way in fantasy? (I know about killing blow, wondering about the double strength)

Haven't been able to find it in the rulebook...

Thanks in advance!

No "Instant Death" rule in fantasy.

But we have some attacks that cause multiple wounds.

Some magical weapons like frostblade insta kills targets if they wound but no general rule.

Actually anything str 7 or greater is instant death to war machines and chariots.

Yes but it is not the instant death rule.

We do have our own version called "killing blow" though, but only specific models have that rule.

best tip there is: if your playing 40k forget al the rules about fantasie, and visa versa.

Except WS vs WS and S vs T rolls, Wounds and Ld values.

You mean stats in general :p.

Yup, without modifiers... But BS goes different in both systems, as well as Movement and Initiative.

I should probably say Attacks too, but Charging and Assaulting deals with them differently too.

pff that that i'm tricked in posting this can belief it.

if yiu forget 40k and remember fantasy you still remember the stats line but forget the link whit 40k. the are the same mby even whit lord of the ring games but the if you do not 'know' the rules of that game you still play fantasy the right way.

the point is 40k and fantasy are 2 totally different games. like beer and applejuse both have a golden color, but if you say applejuse is like beer so you can't drink it before driving, you will get some strange looks :P
