I was wondering how to make the paladin pattern helmet for space marines because I play the Crimson Paladins and I would like to outfit everyone with this helmet

I don't know if you talk about the MK4 or MK3 pattern helmet.

The MK3 is the crusader pattern

I am talking about converting the latest version of helmet.

The latest version of helmet is MK.VII/VIII. Or do you mean you want to convert the latest helmet into MK.IV and Crusade helmets?

This is for Crusade helmets, ak.a MK.III "Ferrum Ironsomething something"

I bought the latter set!

Looking at the picture the helmet is converted using the healmetless heads with mouth masks from either marine or chaos marines, with a normal mk7 or 8, looks like a fiddly procedure.

You can see the incision cuts via the white stuff, around edges. I'd definately make a couple and cast them as opposed to converting lots of them.

Kits for the mouth mask head are either CSM Squad, Marine Tactical Squad, possibly landspeeder or bikers have a head similar too.

Should be able to pick some up nice and cheapish from a bitz site.

There are other companies who make actual knight style helmets that you can put onto the models to make them look "knightly". Of course, that would disallow them from "official" GW tourneys.

It would?

I would ask them to prove I hadnt scratch built them.

Doesn't the model have to be 75% GW? If so, it wouldn't matter if you changed the model's head.

thats a great question and I think it depends on which tounament you go to, It might be that 'Ard Boyz is alot different from golden daemon.
Thanks for the tips, tricks, and advice. Also, Urathk, do you have a tutorial for making the armor of the marine or a painted one?
