Hi i was wondering if a full skink list would be any good

Sure is shooty... but only short distance...

Without staying power, everything with a halfway respectable Armor Save will steamroll you. This would for example include most cavalry. Shooty armies will heavily decimate your troops before they can come into range. One panic check, and the entire army flees off the table.

This list is purely situational. While I can imagine it being effective against some armies, for example Ogres (few models, next to no shooting, no AS), other armies are simply entirely immune to it (anything undead, heavily armored Chaos.)

Id certainly give that list a test run, but ULF is right, highly situational. The Skink chief should have a stegadon helm--You have no magic denfese. You should max out on stegs: ridden EOTGS and warspear, and steg special slots. Your units would prob be best 10 strong and not 20.

Is it possible to use a warspear with an eotg? Iirc only skink chiefs can use it and you need a priest to use the eotg.

To comment the list: I'm not sure this army is killy enough to accomplish anything usefull before the end of turn 6. Most armies will have problems getting into melee with it, but that's the best your skinkarmy can do. I agree with the previous speakers. You need some kind of anvil/hammer to make it work properly.

saw a army simmler to this once

I saw it beaten with 300 points

some guy got a stank and the skinks just couldn't do anything to it

the skink player gave up turn 3

im not very familiar with the steam tank rules, but i dont call it being immune to posion and i beleive it has a toughness value of 6, so wouldnt posion still hurt it? or does it have a 1+ save?


as to the list, it wouldnt work and id think itd be boring as hell to play. the best thing about lizardmen is how flexible they are. i dont understand why so many people try to take that away from them and make something one dimensional.

Maybe also get some Kroxigors to mix in with a couple of the skink units to act as hammers. I don't play Lizardmen but I'm sure it could help and would stay with your theme of skinks. EOTG and Stegs are another option too.

an empire/dwarf/woodelf gunline would make a mess of this army, but would be fun to see how it played
