Well, now i have the rules pack I had better work out a list, this is 1st draft of list for GT, bearing in mind the rules pack.

Basic tactic is hide the anvil, probally wrath and ruin 1st turn, and macking stuff charge after that, mainly using lesser powers. Shoot big monsters with warmachines, and let the blocks beat off most opposing infantry/non-uber cavelry.

After 2 games i've had a jiggle, and swapped thunderers, cannon and a few miners for Iron Breakers.

I've Played a bit more, and after getting used too missions, I have another set of changes, basicall dropping 10 warriors and an organ gun for a battle standard and bits and bobs, giving me :

Sorry should have said something about original list. I would drop the Great Weapons from the Warriors. I would always go for the 3+ armour save in combat with these guys. They always do better by other combat res bonuses than for kills when I use them.

Yeah i agree, drop the great weapons on the warriors (i think you have miscalculated their price). Maybe put the great weapons on the 10 man warrior unit and make them act as flankers.
You might consider breaking the miners up into two small units of 7? They are EXCELLENT as warmachine hunters and rear chargers.
I would also recommend a Master Rune of Gromril on your BSB instead of one of the other runes.

True, me being blonde, points made up by dropping 21st warrior and musician from 10 dwarf unit.

@ Cochrane : Main reason warriors have great weapons is strength 3 just doesnt cut it against toughness 4, and with anvil I can often get the charge.

@ TonyFlow : I like miners as they are, due too the capturing aspects of this years GT missions, i need units that can hold their own. Master rune of gromril was somthing i considered for BSB, and might change if he dies alot, but with current set up he still has 3+ save, and can usually kill a unit champion with 3 ASF strength 5 attacks, and master rune of challenge if a handy trick.
