Lord Urtak

Of all the Gods in the 40K universe, which one would youu remember in your prayers and/or ritual sacrifices? Why? Why would you follow that particular God?

We want to hear!

The Emperor or Khaine.

Because.

Omnissiah

The Emperor

or, if for some reason I was not quite right in the head.

Khorne

The Emperor followed by maybe Nurgle or Slaanesh. Tzeenth and Khorne are just ********.

Lord of ???

Malal, or lacking Malal, Chaos Undecided.. I mean Undivided.

Because I want to keep my options open

The God Emperor - Leader of mankind.

Hypothetically worshiping the God Emperor would for me put faith in mankinds potential to ride out the nightmare storm of the 42st millenium and prevail vctorius over the xenos, heretics, etc...

Also having faith in mankind would be an amusing parallel to my 'real life' views :p

Nurgle... The only considerate god in 40k (who can't love good 'ol gramps)

The Emperor.

I believe that this is the only god for who at the end of your life doesn't result with your soul being torn apart, consumed, or stuffed into the psychic equivilent of an internet forum for the rest of eternity.

The prophecised God of The Dead,Who upon his birth will Destroy Slaanesh and save the souls of the Eldar frm Damnation.

Machine god.
I practically pray everytime I try to use some sort of machine (mainly my computer) so why not start praying to the correct god?

Emperor possibly, because if GW fainally gets round to deciding whether the Machinegod is necron or not, I might need a fall back god...

Nurgle, you get to live forever and he's a nice guy?

GUO are the only demons I can see myself holding a conversation with.

Slaanesh gets my vote not putting a quote up as to why though as kids come on here to lol

Let's face it.. we all would worship Slaanesh.

Eh...

None of the above. I'll be an athe´st.

Eh...

49% of Imperial citizens would vote for an: Eldar, Heretic or Tau over an atheist.

(joke, bonus points if you know where it comes from)

The Machine God. I found myself humanizing electrical devices in the house (especial those that are mine), as well was fixing them so the Omnissiah is an obvious choice for me.

Tzeentch for me,
Just because its all apart of the plan ;)

12-08-2009, 12:10
The Emperor.

Though I'd still be declared a heretic, because I believe technology is something able to be understood :p

Gork and Mork since there's no dillemmas. Maybe Tzeench cause I'm a wacky fella.

Is it the God Delusion or Letter to a christian Nation?

I voted for the Laughing god because when it all hits the fan what can you do?

Do feel Gork and Mork could be interesting. What would they do to a non-ork worshiper?

Urath
12-08-2009, 13:07
Well, not the C'tan. I wouldn't want to be turned into a Necron, especially as I'd end up as a lowly Warrior. Hell, I wouldn't even want to be a Necron Lord. Life, despite the world we live in, is a thing of beauty and something that we should covet. It's not something to be destroyed or wiped out.

Nor the Machine God, Technology should be understood to allow us to progress and evolve. I understand that the Iron Men and other sentient AI caused a massive degredation of human society, but for what it's worth: other technology should be understood.

Not Gork and/or Mork as I'm not an Ork. Same with the Laughing God and Khaine, I'm not an Eldar.

I would argue for the Chaos gods, but it all ends with soul evisceration. Again, it's arguable the very same happens to the servants of other gods, perhaps all souls end up in the Warp and are consumed and thus plunging you into an eternity of torment, regardless of your strength and righteousness in life. Slaanesh is the most likely here, not Tzeentch or Khorne.

I would not worship the Emperor. But, I would rally to him as a symbol of what humanity could be and once was.

The God Emperor, of course.

Khorne!!

Though I'm an Eldar player I voted Nurgle, as the Grandfather seems a happy jolly chap - much nicer than some of the other doom-mongering gods. Plus I like all things rotted and decayed ;)

Ghaust Mortium
12-08-2009, 14:40
The Ommnisiah because lets face it, What religion is cooler than one that worships ornate devices and augments themselves to last hundreds of years?

Nurgle, you get to live forever and he's a nice guy?

GUO are the only demons I can see myself holding a conversation with.

I think the smell would be kind of distracting. Plus I don't count someone as a nice guy if for my birthday they give me compound eyes, leprosy and make faeces come out of my pee-pee. I guess it's better than a card.

For the people saying the Emperor; do you really think he'd be happy with being worshipped as a god by herds of braying, mind-numbingly accepting human sheep? He'd probably say that humans live their life free of religious slavery, and anyone who willingly subjects himself to it can GTFO of the Imperium.

Well, he would say that if he weren't so busy all the time. His schedule is so hectic, he never seems to leave his office.

The Laughing God

Yes everyone worship me!!!:D

Tzeentch, for sure.

The other chaos gods scare me to be honest - they all want to defile you in some horrid fashion. :cries:

For me, it was a toss-up between the Emperor and the Laughing God. Since I like playing humans better than playing elves, I went with the Emperor.

Khorne. Because incontrolable blood rages have a nice ring to it.

badguyshaveallthefun
12-08-2009, 18:09
Nurgle. Of all those Gods listed, Nurgle is the one portrayed as the most caring towards his followers. Why follow a God that doesn't care about you?

I'm the 8th person to vote for Tzeentch. One more and we can start a cabal.

Combat Emu
12-08-2009, 18:50
C'tan, because they can actually kick ass in reality. All those other gods are sitting frightened in their warp, on their throne or in their webway gates^^
Plus: Necrons are just ... really^^... awesome
GW just has to notice once again so their awesomeness can actually win a game again

Lotoc_Sabbath
12-08-2009, 18:51
The sacred Necron Gods !!!

Slaanesh.

If you're gonna pretty much live forever (as a Chaos Marine) then it might as well be fun.

I said Khorne because it's the closest thing to, if not, Soul Edge, my favorite god-like thing, in this universe. Then Khaine 2nd and the Laughing God 3rd.

Keichi246
12-08-2009, 19:51
I worship the Greater Good! None of this silly God stuff.

But - since that wasn't a choice - I voted the Omnissiah. Because I'm basically a techpriest in real life anyways...

PxDn Ninja

Nightbringer.

I would vote the Laughing God only because I would want to find the truth of the rumors of the Laughing God and the Deceiver being the same entity.

Tzeentch is the God for me. Then nothing is my fault, it is all in accordance with the plans of Lord Tzeentch, Master of Fate. :D

12-08-2009, 20:06
slaanesh, plain and simple. most interesting god i think

Hadafix
12-08-2009, 20:30
Voted slaanesh as imo, it is the most modern and progressive of the options, and Malal wasnt one of the options. Did think about the Emperor, but then I can think of no more reason to then I can Slaanesh, and my first 40K army was slaaneshi.

redbaron998
12-08-2009, 20:37
I would probably go with the machine God myself. Knowledge is power

LonelyPath
12-08-2009, 20:38
It has to be Slaanesh ;)

12-08-2009, 21:00
Malal, or if not then maybe the laughing god

Stucorb
13-08-2009, 14:57

The emperor isn't really a god, if he was why would he need life support ;P

Dr. Hellbeast
13-08-2009, 15:36
Let's face it. Pretty much whomever you worship in the 40K universe, you are in trouble. :)

Tzeentch.

At least it won't be boring...

genestealer_baldric

The laughing god so who donst want to have fun forever and laugh at other peoples serious view of life.

I find myself sniffing every time I fart, so why not worship Nurgle? And all the demons are jolly to boot!

i was going to go Emperor but then i saw the machine god,
they're the same thing so why not?

Tzeentch. Tzeentch is a pretty cool guy. Eh makes plans and doesn't afraid of anything.

13-08-2009, 20:39
I already worhsip Nurgle. Can't remember why, but I never looked back.

BrotherMoses
13-08-2009, 21:09
Slaanesh. Thats where the bitches are.

Seriously, the Emperor. He's the god least likely to kill me/turn me into something else.

Possibly Khaine if I was Eldar. As cool as it might be though, I think I would rather not be one of the dying. Not that they have it any better than the Imperial humans, just the devil I know.

I already do worship one, Thank the Emperor, he's out there somewhere!!

As an engineer myself, I would say : praised be the machine god !

13-08-2009, 21:56
If I actually lived in the 40k universe, it be Nurgle. I'm half way there already. Voted for Khaine though, mainly to bump him up.

The machine god is interesting because unlike the other 40k gods, it may or may not be real. It's the closet to modern religion because there is no definite proof that it exists; because it doesn't interact with its followers.

Unless you believe the machine god is the void dragon, then its very real.

Are you one of those smelly basement baby kids we've been discussing? Not cool dude.

Scarecrow808
13-08-2009, 23:41
NURGLE, because my CSM army is loyal to him, He is the only Chaos god that actually gives a dang about his followers, he actually removes their pain senses and that makes them the best darned fighters in the Csm Codex :-)

Are you one of those smelly basement baby kids we've been discussing? Not cool dude.

:D No I actually take like 2 baths a day, everyday. Though I rarely leave my house so that kind of even it out.

I have the Nurgle mentality, which is why I said I'm half way there.

All I need now is the pus and boils, and then I'll be set. :p

I'd go with the laughing god...in a galaxy full of hate, violence and war he seems to have a light hearted approach on things which I can respect.
