Did the slave girl who turned Khorne appear in any other stories? I cannot remember her name so I'm having trouble finding information about her. Also do any other characters from that book beside Honsou show up again?

Yeah she appears in Dead Sky, Black sun, which is one of the Ultramarines novels.

Ah yes, but only briefly IIRC. Also, Leonid and several members of his regiment return. But, I shall say no more :p

...turned into an avatar of khorne and entered the warp?

She did indeed.
But Dead Sky, Black Sun is set on Medrengard within the Eye of Terror and so is thus, technically in the warp. Besides, it returns to fight a specific enemy.

Although, strangely, the 4th edition rulebook shows Medrengard outside of the eye, nearer to Caliban than Cadia:wtf:

Don't worry. The 3.5 Chaos Codex showed Fenris and the Gothic Sector as being right next to the Eye also.

It's stupid mistakes.

Maybe it's a big conspiracy and the Eye actually moves around the galaxy, pulled by a flock of Void Whales.

On topic: Dead sky, black sun is definitely worth a read just for more Honsou action. Him being a major galactic badass and all.

Void Whales

Personally, I'd only read the Iron Warrior half (or there about) of the novel, as Ventris becomes extremely annoying. On the upside, the omnibus comes with Ideaus' Last Command, Nightbringer and Warriors of Ultramar as well. All of which I found thoroughly enjoyable, especially Nightbringer. For 5.99, there isn't a single reason to object really!
