View Full Version : Firing in ranks at a large target

I'm sure it's possible to fire in ranks at large targets, however I can't for the life of me find it in the book.

Am I thinking about an older edition or am I just being blind?

It's simply a consequence of the fact that non-large targets do not block LOS to large targets. Normally you cannot fire from rear ranks because the guy in front of you blocks LOS. That doesn't apply if you're firing at a large target.

page 9, under "interposing models"

"this works the other way round as well, for example, a dragon (large target) can be seen and shot at by enemy models over interposing friendly models that are not large targets, even by models in the back ranks of a unit of troops armed with missile weapons"

Yeah, I wish the index referred to that paragraph as well, took me ages to find.

Thanks for the page ref - I spent ages looking for where it said that.

On another note, if a model on a hill can see over interposing models (not on a hill) would he be allowed to snipe a skaven character leading from the back of a unit (which is not on a hill)?

Only if he has the ability to pick out a character in a unit. I assume your thinking about the Empire sniper......

Or Wood Elves with the similar ability, but yeah, I don't see why not. The skaven character can see him...
