View Full Version : Nurgle Daemon Prince almost finished...

Hi, I have very naerly finished a Forge World Nurgle Daemon Prince. All I have to do is the loin cloth and the goo in the bucket on his back. But i dont have a clue how to do the loin cloth. I think I am going to do the bucket goo a bright green instead of the brown colour it is now. Here is a couple of pictures of the figure as it stands.

Any suggestions would be greatfully welcomed.

Its repulsive in a good way! Amazing paint job, I love how you made him a pinkish instead of pure green. Seeing all green nurgle everything gets old.

For the cloth, you could try to have it a lighter color with plenty of stains and wear on it. Looks like the bottom of it gets dragged through whatever this guy walks through.

The goo being brown like that makes me thing "More poop for the poop god!"

I dont really like how this model looks on the FW site, but your paint job makes me rethink buying one!

Why is the goo on the inside of the tube purple while the goo in the barrel on Mamon's back is dark red? The goo would look better if it was purple. He looks quite good at the moment but unfortunately I can't help you with the cloth, maybe paint it kammando khaki add some staining and paint a MoN in the middle?

Haha "poop for the poop god!" Thanks gwarsh41 I thought the all green scheme was too much. I was at Games Day on Sunday and saw that Daemon Prince. I really liked it. I think the picture doesn't do it justice.

Thanks kaimarion that's a very good point, why is the goo two different colours?

I think that a grey/khaki cloth would look cool with the MoN. And purple goo I think. Will paint it again on Thursday night and post a picture of the results.

I would like any other comments about the rest of the paint job.

Hi, i have done the loin cloth and re-done the goo.

The loin cloth looks a bit washed out but I think that was due to the flash.

It looks great! My one comment is the eye, to me it just seems a bit flat compared to the depth in the rest of the miniature. Maybe add a pupil or a lighter colour on the raised part? Its such a minor detail I feel like I am nitpicking on an excellent paint job :p

Good choice of colours and the teeth/nails/horn are very well done. I think a gloss finish on the stuff in the tank on his back would be good.

He is looking great. Job well done! I definitely think that you made the right choice when making the goo purple. My one complaint would be the loin cloth. It is looking a bit too clean for my tastes :)

Hi, thanks for the replys.

@ Zujara: there is a pupil in the eye but I think giving the red a highlight would be a good idea.

@ spevna: I have not quite finished the base yet and was going to spray varnish it with matt first then use a gloss over a few sections .

@ ReaperOfSouls: Yeah I think the purple worked well. The camera flash did wash the colour out of the cloth a bit, there is a purple hue to the entire area. I am still not sure what to do about the cloth. I dont want to just slap washes over it.
