Hey all,

Now I know that the 6th edition was much maligned but I'm trying to update the Cult of slaanesh army list so I would like to ask a few questions if anyone still has the 6th ed dark elf army book.

Were shades core units? if so were there any restrictions or are they still as good as today.
Were dark riders core or special?
Were dark elf warriors allowed to carry repeater crossbows or was there back then (as is the case now) a seperate army selection for dark elf warriors and dark elf crossbowmen.

Thanks in advance

Shades were special.
Dark riders were core.
Crossbowmen were warriors who swapped their spears for repeater crossbows.

Many thanks, did shades still have repeater xbows as standard and scout? I can see big problems with the Cult of slaanesh army allowing shades to be core units.

Yes but they didn't have the option for great weapons or additional hand weapons.

6th edition shades unit size was 5-15 models instead of 5+. WS and BS was 4 not 5, (5 not 6 for Bloodshades BS, and he only had 1 Attack).

Cheers theres a big difference between then and now then. I can see why it didn't seem to much of a stretch to allow cult of slaanesh to take the 5-15 no great weapons, no additional hand weapons, WS and BS 4 as core in their list (basically dark elf warriors with scout). The current shades as core clearly wouldn't work :D

Aw, I'm too late, I've been having the 6th edition book lying on my desk for days.
