okay i will stop making new topics soon, im in a discussion mood tonight so okay! the coatl are according to the lizardman book, 'beasts with a long sinuois snake like body, a dragons head and massive feathery wings' and i think i would like to make one :P so i was wondering what ui could model rep it for- i was thinking of making a mini howdah with a skink priest on for an engine of the gods, what do you all think?

possibly made from a dragon kit with filled in stuff and slightly converted, just to curl the tail so it is pinned to its base?

There are rules for it somewhere.....one which is extremely strange (as it is a spell with a casting value that allows you to move terrain BEFORE the game starts), the rules arenīt impressive but can do it justice (barely). It can be hard to play properly but possibly a skink priest on terradon (if they can ride those) would be the best representation, but donīt model the skink cause these babies can cast spells on their own.

WarplockMonkey from the CD forum & the Ogre Stronghold has a Coatlsaur as a Carnosaur. Check it, as it is awesome, as is everything he touches.

Use it as a proxy for the teradon riding character.

The Coatl is a god from Aztek mythology ( http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/coatl ) and a winged and feathered snake basically.

Best model is OOP, a Ral Rartha Shadowrun box called "The Feathered Serpent" ( http://www.xs4all.nl/~gurth/shadowrun/ralpartha.html#10861P ), in two variants, this one newer and improved. Search ebay.
Ral Partha Fantasy also has this one: https://www.connectstores.com/ralpartha/images/02-471.jpg
Reaper has a small one: http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/Couatl/sku-down/14459.
Fenryll has this one, a bit off: http://www.battlefield-berlin.de/shop/index.php?cat=WG91&product=DM%2022
But you can always convert something out of a dragon and wings.

Forest dragon w/o arms and legs, Lord of change wings, some lizardman doohickeys and a moderate amount of greenstuff should make a reasonably nice coatl.

Here is my OOP coatl, which was produced by gamesworkshop (I believe) at some point. The third pic has a skull pass night goblin standard for size comparison.

Keep in mind this was painted about 20 years ago. I can't say the same about the night goblin (though to be honest I am proud of him).
