I have been playing and collecting warhammer for around 10 years, but only recently started painting old (horrible red green blue splashes) models again.

I think I have over 10000 points of unpainted or very poorly painted models around, and I have started to build new glorious army from them and from some new models too.

So, to the first zombie group.

There are many of my first build zombies(First models that I ever had)...
And then there is the little butcher guy and pullers from corpse cart.

As you can see I am not master painter but trying my best :p

Those zombies look awesome! Very gritty and rotten looking! Excellent use of washes. The guts on the ogre model are very convincing.
The color scheme you are using is nice, and the basing is complimentary.
My only complaint would be that they look a little too glossy, but that could be a result of the flash.
Keep up the good work!

The unit looks convincingly undead and rotten, and the ogre is a great addition. The shiny hair needs to be fixed though :)

The shining thing going on is just cause I have no idea how to use flash and lighting when taking pictures :p

I don't like the idea of zombies pulling it, so I remodelled it to be pulled by couple nightmares.
The idea of 4 zombies pulling cart full of bodies with the speed they walk without any weight seems just too weird.

Then there is my 2nd zombie unit. I have always likes the robed figures of Flagellants.
http://i882.photobucket.com/albums/ac27/abhorash/with%20shine/DSCN1438.jpg
These guys are mix of Flagellants, zombies and skeletons parts.

In the next post will be my 2 skeleton units.

The faces on the Flagellants are great.

Are you using Army Painter spray on these?

No, army painter quick shade... That could be the reason for shining, is there some way to stop it from being glossy? :p

Here is some 6th edition skeletons that I repainted last week end.
I mixed in some spears, so that it would look more like army that was picked up from some random battlefield. The front rank is all hand weapons and khemri shield to make sure opponent understands that its not spear skeleton unit.

I like your Zombies.. You can nearly smell their rotting flesh, good effort.

Then there is the Blood knights. Models are from gamezone.
Im not quite sure was it good idea to brush white on the black cloak so make it look more worn out...

They were nightmare to build. nothing seemed to fit where it should.

To get rid of the shiny aspect, which is a result of using Army Builder Quickshade, get yourself some of the Army Builder Matt Varnish spray.

Lightly dust the model with this spray in one direction, leave it for a bit, then lightly dust from another direction and leave it for a bit. Repeat this process until your miniatures are no longer shiny :D

It's magic in a can :D

p.s. Always leave a full 24 hours between applying the Quickshade and spraying on the varnish. Otherwise the dip goes really white and things look BAAAAAD :(

Here is where i where the magic happens..
http://i882.photobucket.com/albums/ac27/abhorash/after%20matt%20varnish/DSCN1954.jpg

And this is what im working on right now.

I will paint the wolfs gray and after that add some black and darger gray to make em look more real. (most of them are from the days i only got 1 big paintbrush and can of chaos black... and to think i was proud to have that 1 fully painted unit in my army..
http://i882.photobucket.com/albums/ac27/abhorash/after%20matt%20varnish/DSCN1955.jpg

Next one is witch hunter that i made from some 40k commander.
For some reason most of the paint chipped off from it some time ago, so i cleaned it and now will paint it again.
It for my witch hunter empire army that now includes 1 unit.
http://i882.photobucket.com/albums/ac27/abhorash/after%20matt%20varnish/DSCN1961.jpg

This vargulf was first with its normal head and some claws from dragons.
It looked just fine but i desided i wanted something more "fluffy" for my army.
So i desided to make it werewolf.
Now it is just waiting for my order of ogre gorger to get hands.
