Heres my nameless knight who set out after a vision from the lady to expand her domain into the border princes. He took the cross as his heraldry after to signify his new dukedom. Its yet to be recognised by the king.

Looks good. The horses look unfinished though. Looks like they need to have their ink/washed bodies gone over again with some flat paint and highlights.

and although the pistoliers/M@A combination is incredibly effective, they have mold lines...

I'm a little indifferent about the red/white crosses on the infantry pavises. The rough finish looks appropriate for lowly men at arms; but they appear too rough. Maybe if you apply more battle damage on the pavise surface you will make it look not only rough, but well used. The white is so strong it looks like they just applied paint onto the shields.

Other than that, they look really great.

The flash does bring out the horses flaws, but im happy with the speed with which they are done, were talking a white drybrush and then wash, crazy fast.

Mould lines, ya they are there, whos going to get close enough to see on the gameboard ;)

And i dont know how i could make the sheilds seem more damaged without spending too much time on them

utilising my speed/quality/lack of skill i think i have struck a decent balance.

I really am happy with the spears and the yeoman conversions. I got a HUGE box of bretonnian stuff from ebay (like 2500 pts +) so ill be posting my snail like progress here.

If it's speed that's important, than yeah they look pretty good.

The flash makes them look worse, i took those at night in a low lit room from far away to counteract the flash intensity, ill get some natural light no flash shots soon. im still trying to figure out how to do my horses, im obviosly (hopefully!) using a crusader theme (the grail reliquea will have them carrying a cross, since A. its crusader themed, and B. they usually carry knights but since the holy knight they are devoted too isnt dead yet, they carry his symbol/heraldry) So i was thinking of having my knights who have yet to taste grail being red, questing knights be half and half (in different patterns) while grail grabbers being white.

Nice yeoman conversions! But I agree with MF3000 - take some time to remove the more obvious mouldlines (such as on the upper side of the horses front legs), it will improve the looks a lot without taking too much time to accomplish. Oh, almost forgot - great theme, I like yout thoughts for the reliquary.

i finnished a knight!
i figure out how my heraldry will work
KOTR and KE get full red barding with their own heraldry on their shields to represent them fighting for this border prince but still retain their identity
Questing knights get half white half red barding and their own heraldry to represent them giving up their old selves in service to the lady, whom my border prince claims to follow
Grail Knights have full white bardind and carry my border princes heraldry to represent full loyalty

Ill get a pic of the knight up in a few days.

Im back after getting my OWN vallejo paint set so im reviving this old guy, ill get some pics of a new knight (no my skills have not improved). Expanded fluff is that his line stayed in the border prince region after the araby crusades, its a hard region but they make it! BTW where the heck are the other bretonnian plogs, no love?

Four bowmen done. Ive started highlighting and have finally started removing the mold line! Also changed to vallejo paints so i am using sombre blue instead of spacewolves gray meaning i washed my already done units to keep them in line with the new style.
