I want to add a nurgle looking greater daemon to a chaos army I'm making and I found this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260506678921&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT do you guys recon it looks big enough to be a 100point greater daemon for chaos marines?

its not that big, its smaller than the metal daemon prince model

i use 3 of these things in my nurgle daemon army as princes

How tall is it? Does it stand atleast a head higher than a marine?

As long as its on the MC sized base (60mm), I would say that its fine.
I would say its pretty cool actually, I like seeing older versions of the models on the the board.

It's teeny-tiny...at least compared to the current Greater Daemons.

If you use it, give it a largeish display base, to alleviate any potential True LoS issues.

yeah its very small, probably could use it as a beast of nurgle in Chaos Daemons but thats about it.

Reckon not recon

It's a greater daemon model. Of course you could use it as a greater daemon.

Reckon not recon

it is Recon, where you got the K from is beyond me.

OP - well its a official GW Greater Daemon modle, yes its smaller than the current one, and looks like a Nurgling compaired to the FW one, but cant see why youd have any probs, after all a Greater Daemon is a Greater Daemon!

Recon = short for reconnaisance.
Reckon = to think, or to calculate.

brother loki is correct

a lot of models were smaller or thinner back in the day, when this guy first came out he was ok in scale to other models of the time

could have sworn that K was before the C - hence why when i spell checked it it said it was wrong.

ooops

It is a greater daemon, so yeah, no one should really have trouble with you using it as such.

I use the old obliterators because I think they are better models, they are smaller than the new ones, but no one ever complains.

It says in the auction that the thing is about 40 mm tall...

a little small for a greater deamon in my mind.

It would be a 'lesser' greater daemon in a CSM army though...

Could explain the size difference?

Would also make things easier if playing against a Nurgle Daemon army.

well the description is wrong, unless its the Epic Great Unclean one, then that would be around 40MM tall, but then again, the seller is miss selling if thats what it actually is.

I really don't remember these things being so small! Obviously 100% legal but I would think it would be very hard to make this look good on the modern table top. I predict lots of sniggering and size doesn't matter jokes, I'm afraid ;)

is that a 40mm or 50mm square base? its clearly large than that base, although in allfairness, its only listed as roughly 40mm which means the seller aint bothered to check its actual size, ive a feeling its close to 60/70mm.

The Stuff of Legends pictures are on 40mm bases so they're around 55mm tall depending on where you measure to. They are legal Nurgle Greater Daemons because that's what they are.

I was expecting something to dwarf the FW GUO. His special rules have him costing around 777pts. disappointed....
