Could anyone who owns, or has seen the new Beastmen book share a little bit of the description for what the new harpies look like? Are they similar to the Dark elves harpies in that they have female torsos with birdlike lower bodies? Or are they beastial, more along the lines of gargoyles? I picked up some tyranid gargoyle wings today to start planning a conversion, most likly with ungor bodies, but I was wondering if this is in line with GWs vision of the unit. Thanks for any help.

In one of the other threads someone mentioned the artwork in the book for them is the same as that in the last Dark Elf book, despite that I'm still planning on doing much like you but possibly with the harpy wings available through bitz.

I plan on just using my Chaos furies, they look about right.

Exactly as DE harpies, so 20m bases. A deamonette/ gargolye hybrid is the best option, I reckon, for them if you don't want, or can't afford the metal ones.

Not to mention the GW ones are hideous, if you do fancy the female looking harpies use the gamezone ones they're fantastic!

now that the new tyranids are out mix the wings from the plastic gargoyles with demonettes and if u want throw on some ghoul arms = new plastic harpies- thats what im going to do anyways.

I agree with Draco on using the Furies, not like they get used for anything else, poor guys.

I keep reading this as beastmen herpes and it is disturbing.

I saw the book yesterday, they are indeed the exact same.
