Necromunda all the way.

Such a great game. Best one GW ever did.

Followed closely by Gorkamorka. Gotta love those crazy Commie Grotz.

Never got into Mordheim though, dono why. Ah well.

So yeah. Necromunda for the win, always and forever.

Battlefleet Gothic by far. It's a fun, simple game to play. The models are great, and there are many ways to integrate scenarios with 40k Scale (troop transport, boarding).
Also whats the sense of fighting a ground battle if you don't control space?

EPIC!!! :D

It's great, a really fun and challenging system, with some great mini, and it has (and continues to be) the place where cool new vehicles and unit types are introduced for 40k.

Necromunda all the way.

Such a great game. Best one GW ever did.

By a long way. Necro is slowly creeping back into my life, maybe even at the expense of 40K. If Necromunda had core game support, there would be no contest.

Epic, always has been and always will be.

I love Necromunda and Bloodbowl too, but Epic! :)

I have tried some BFG, Bloowbowl and Gorkamorka, but my fondest memories are of the games of Necromunda I played way back when I was a wee lad (ok, I was 14 or something ;)).

I just love that game. Something about the setting and the gameplay and the endless ideas for scenarios makes this game better than the rest.

Just thinking of all the backstabbing and intrigue that was going on back then brings a tear to my eye.
I'd love to play it again, but the lack of a decent group makes that quite hard.

Gorkamorka was great fun as well, though I never got into that as much as into Necromunda.

Necromunda by a country mile.............closely followed by BFG

Necro for me was the 'Ultimate' GW game, good rule-set, great setting and absorbing to play...........what a game

Necromunda or Blood Bowl, depending on what mood I'm in. Mordheim is very similar to Necromunda and I quite like its warband variety, but Necromunda's engine is much smoother and its setting is richer, so that clinches it for me.

Yeah, Necro or BB for me too

Epic, followed by Necro and BFG.

Some of the best games I've ever played have been Specialist games.

If pushed for a single answer I'd say Blood Bowl. It's totally unlike any of the others, and has kept me playing for years. It's just immense fun.

Second is Necromunda. Though I like the similar game Mordheim and the fantasy setting in general, for some reason Necromunda just works better.

i love warmaster, played blood bowl for years and enjoy painting the inquisitor models.

i could never realy get into necromunda and mordheim as people consistantly get back up after being shot/stabbed and having the boot put in. still, iv'e seen a lot of people play it and enjoy it.
and that is what matters.

Just wish that all specialist games got a bit more support...there's some real gems and some real potential...

I've almost played all of them at this point. I love Necromunda and Epic, they're both great games, I also like BFG alot, Blood Bowl is good too but I only play it once in awhile. Overall the specialist games are alot better than the core games in my opinion, it is really a shame that they get such crappy support from GW.

Necromunda, had too much fun playing that game. Our gaming group still has three sets of Underhive goodness to battle over, although we have not dusted it off in a long time.

Does Warmaster Ancients count? Probably not.

Necromunda it is then :skull: probably the best canpaign system going and it lends itself so well to a narrative.

I'm a big fan of BFG, Epic, Inquisitor, and Necromunda.

At present, I'd have to say I'm favoring Inquisitor the most, but that's only because of an ongoing campaign my friends and I have been playing. I've invested pretty heavily in collecting all four systems over the years they've been available, and I enjoy playing all of them about equally.

BFG

Probably the best supported game before it became a "specialist" game. Plus it let's you actualy expand your 40K games rather than just playing another game within the same "universe."

Blood Bowl got my started in '89 but I have to claim Warhammer Quest as my favorite. Here is our GD 03 in Baltimore table!

Do you have to ask? Inquisitor is by far my favourite game.

However, I'm also a big fan of Necromunda and BFG and am looking forward to getting into Epic and Mordheim. I have a feeling I'd like Bloodbowl if I made the effort, but Warmaster holds little attraction. It's all tactics and no fun.

Necro absorbed our attention for two full years! Almost every night monday through Friday. So narrative and full of atmosphere.

Second is Epic, but I rarley get to play.

1) Mordheim
2) Inquisitor
=3) Epic 40K
=3) Necromunda
=3) Battlefleet Gothic
6) Warmaster
7) Blood Bowl - hate it, hate it, hate ... planning a team for it.

Has to be Mordheim for the top spot for me though, as the Mordheim City Watch is probably m favourite 'army' that I've ever come up with, even if I did paint their uniforms red and yellow instead of purple and yellow. Oops. Oh well, they have cheap dyes, go figure... :D

Blood bowl had to be the best game eve.

For about 1 year we ran a season with about 6 players with various teams. After the first year we decided to set up an internal transfer market the criteria for this was the any player that had at least 5 star player points can be put up for transfer. There was a fee to transfer a player and a price to be paid for them.... i ended up with a tough mummy blocker on my skaven team and transfered a gutter runner to the goblin team. it was really funny to see, at the end of the season we set up a all star game and basically it was made up of the best of the nasty and the best of the good playing off against each other.... simply amazing.... i suggest you all have to try blood bowl to know the feeling of you gutter runner in one move being able to score and hoping that in those 2 "go for it" rolls you succeed cos you know that if they hit you then ur going down hard...

If you can find opponents, go for it!
The rules are free anyway, and it's a great game.

Mordheim...

and Skirmish also (have a tavern brawl of Slayers, Snotlings and skaven fighting against each other and an ogre bar-keeper - can a table-top game get any cooler?)

What a cool excuse to make dozens of ruined buildings and scenery!
I liked it a lot.

Just read Karak Azgal for WHFRP..... and I thought WOW, what a cool sequel to Mordheim this would make!
