hey guys...
this is my latest project..
before we start:
My source of inspiration is the golden demon entry of the B&C user called 'nephelim' LINK HERE (http://hobbyhawk.com/Tutorials/Nephelim/NephelimBlueRecipe.html)

here are the pics:

the chaplain (inspired by my own power armoured chaplain ^^)

The terminator Apothecary is a neat idea, nice conversion too! In fact good conversions all round, I look forward to seeing how they progress.

I love the Chaplain, and the upgrade to Terminator Armour is great and looks very close to the Power Armoured Version. Will you be adding the additional torso robe to the TA one too or just leave it as is? Also, the banner bearer arm on the termi looks off due to the size difference.

Nice work! Is the sword made of the similar material you find on those little cocktail swords? Or in fact is it just a large one of them?

When he is not too busy killing in the Emperor's name, he can keep your sandwich from falling apart!!!

Those are really nice conversions, Tagsta.

Where on earth do you get cocktail swords?

They look like they'd make sweet power weapons...

I bought a cocktail in a local bar ;) and then I thought "that would be a nice power weapon" I'm not kidding
I think you can also buy these in every kind of supermarket

/edit:
To be perfectly honest: I stole some from the cocktail party of my mate's girlfriend ;)

Ha! Imagine a terminator wielding an umbrella! Good got that would be funny...
*cough*

Back to the work.

Nice one. I always think it is amazing what a loincloth does for a marine. It' changes the figure so much! I look forward to seeing these painted!

Well, they're very nice converted, especially the captain's sword
But IMHO the standard bearer's hand is too small for a terminator.

'Tis from the new Tactical squad set. And I think it's not really in the works for the Imperium, maybe something more gothic and low-techy would be better. Oh well.

I've always wanted to do a Terminator Command squad like this, but well done for making such a fine job of it Tagsta. I particularly like the Apothecary - I might knick the idea one day ;).

Good luck with it!

Solution: Paint the bionics bleached bone. Then it's his skull being worked with. Just put a lens shade in the 'eye' and it's ace.

The chaplain looks great, but like said the barrels could be drilled. Great job anyways!

How much more do you still have to do? The highlights could be gone over, they seem a bit heavy compared to the original.

1 question, would you consider painting on commision... to supplement your student income?

:D I have a few models that need painting :D

I love your Chaplain, he looks fantastic. And Kudos to you for undercoating in White - I hate it too!

It's interesting to see that you've broken up the black of the armour with gold banding. I may consider doing that on my Marines to break them up a little.

Good luck with the project.

One thing that might help you with a white undercoat (particularly on this model) would be a very thin wash of Chaos Black mixed with Future Floor Wax (I believe it's called Kleer in the UK). It would help the white from looking so. . . well, white. White undercoats are notoriously unforgiving. I preferr to use black, even though so many people swear that the color comes out better. I even use a black undercoat on primarily white models, just lay down grey or Bleached Bone prior to setting in you white.

Another thing that I've found with a white undercoat and reds, specifically, is to either block in your red areas with a coat of undiluted red or magenta ink, or basecoat it with a suitable brown. I like Scorched Brown for that, as it helps ensure that the red isn't too translucent.

I like the conversions, nice work. I did the same thing for my Captain's power sword. Cocktail swords fit perfectly on Space Marines.
