Hello there. As you all know from Pertinx's post there will be a national painting competition here in Norway soon. And just as for Pertinax, this makes me want to paint up some really nice figures that i will enter.

So the first WIP picture I will show you(wich is almost done) is my entry for single Warhammer fantasy figures.

Hy High Elf hero.

Now one thing i have noticed from the picture is that the gold has turned out alot darker here then it really is. Hope you like him so far.

it does look good, just a few things I think you might want to do. Firstly, give a flesh or black ink wash onto the face as at the moment it looks a bit bright to be under a helmet.

Also, you might want a brown wash on the hair, just to unify the blending, as the colours look a little separate from each other.

Sorry if this sounds harsh as it is a nicely painted mini, but it is a painting competition and I would have thought the judges would be harsh as well.

Looking good so far! Silver nail varnish? (on his nails that is) :p The metal looks really good btw.

Very nice detail on the armor plates and shading on the white robes.

The sword hilt looks a little neglected compared to the rest of the model. Is that the WIP part?

It's really nice, but I do agree with the comment above with regard to the face and hair, other than that excellent work.
