"Models in this unit may re-roll failed attempts to wound."

Nothing more is said for the banner's effect.. Would a Herald of Nurgle be allowed to re-roll 'To wound' rolls from his spells as well?

Too bad skulltaker can't join them

Too bad that, as a named character, he doesn't have the Heralds restriction on joining other gods units - meaning he can join the unit.

I thought they cleared that up in an faq, but apparently the all-wise gw ruled against it :wtf:

Anyway, it still wouldn't be an effective unit, seeing as he doesn't give plaguebearers regen, and they rather suck without it. And also adding a HoN to the unit makes it a bit too expensive.

Yes that would have made sense but ... well, it is Daemons.

But close to unkillable. MR3, 5+ Ward, 4+ regen, and Skulltaker will rip apart any thing that charges it character wise.

Where do you get the magic resistance from? Not from skulltaker, since he isn't a herald.

He still gives MR (2) from his cloak. It's not MR (3) though.
You really should read the book before shouting off what you can't do, since you seem to be wrong all the time ;)

I didn't say it was MR3.

A 400-500 point infantry unit with movement 4 is not exactly hard to evade

No, but you did say:

Where do you get the magic resistance from? Not from skulltaker, since he isn't a herald.
And he isn't a herald, but he still gives MR.

Herald on Palaquin - Plague bearer banner - Plague Bearer Champion - Skulltaker on Jugger

That would be one nasty slowmoving deathstar worth a ton of points.. haha insane.

Hello Gateway!

From a Demon Prince with Tendrils!

Depending on how the rest of the army looks, that one unit living through the game may grant a win. I've actually gone up against it, It took a combined Charge of Blood Knights on the Flank + GW GRave guard with Helm and ASF/Rerolls to beat the unit. About the same number of points, but then my general popped to 2 Units of Flesh Hound charging his skeleton bunker.
