Does anyone remember what the rules used to be for Plague Knifes? I was just curious? Thanks

Yes I know you can't use them anymore. Just wanted to see what they did?

I think they were autowound on a hit roll of 6 with armorsaves allowed, like poison attacks from whfb

nope - it was basically the same existing rules as plague swords in the current rules - but it worked on a 6 instead of a 4+.

That would be great if they were still around! At least for father Nurgle it would be! Where they power weapons to? How many points did they cost and who could take them? Only Independants or Sgts or any Nurgle marine?

In 2nd Ed (not got my old codex here) all Plague marines had them, with aspiring champs having a plague sword.

They where just knives/swords/pointy sticks covered in Gunk IIRC.

If im wrong someone point it out for me.

They weren't power weapons and all Plague Marines came with them...

They were close combat weapons that auto-killed on a roll of 6, if they caused a wound*. This only worked against mortal foes and not against Daemons, Wraithlords, Avatars etc. Modern Plauge Marines with these little beauties would be well 'ard. More so than they already are, in fact.

Also, Blight Grenades used to be a squad upgrade as well.

*An alternative inerpretation of their rules was that they always wounded but auto-killed on a roll of 6... The description is a tad fuzzy.

Yeah. Plague marines used to be pretty interesting. course, back then, beastmen had 2 wounds too.

the old 3rd edition chaos book fetured plague knives as well, all plague marines had them, they functioned similar to the plague sword, as has already been mentioned.

Plague Knives were nasty pieces of work. As if a Nurgle marine didn't have enough going for him to start with, he got this little jewel as standard kit. Only worked on a 6, as mentioned, but IIRC it was essentially a rending weapon against living foes.
