A little help request:

I'm looking for ship planimetries and deckplans for using as a base for a Warhammer RPG Naval Campaign.

I've Google Searched for hours but found nothing more than modelling plans which are useless for my purpose: I need something similar to building internal maps that are often given with RPG supplements and adventures, and will solve the purpose to make the ship my PCs will travel upon, a true and familiar place.

The kind of ships I'm looking for a re Galleons from early 1600 or explorer's ships from 1500.

Thanx in advance!

Have you visited your local library? There's all kind of things in books, that aren't in the web. Get books about 15th-16th naval warfare or books about pirates. They always have blueprints or drawings.

Or simply improvise, as I did, when Dark Elves invaded Luccini and captured some of the characters. A DoW ship was recruited to save the PC's.

Not yet, but I'm beginning to think it's the only viable choice...

Have you got Death on the Reik?

All sorts of river encounters and barge/small ship layouts - not really galleons and sea travel, but it's better than nothing.

Got them, but I need:
A) More detail
b) Larger ships capable to bring an explorer around the world.

Then sorry, all i can suggest is library books etc.

If you want to get some ideas on sea travel in the old world, the book The Burning Shore has some good stuff in it.

This seemed pretty interesting so I spent twenty minutes Googling it. I don't know they're quite good enough but still.
Here you can "explore" HMS Victory.

While 'conquistador ship plan' came up with

Here's a sort of plan of the San Juan Baptista, a Japanese (really) warship modelled after western ones:

The HMS Victory site is interesting...
Now I just need bird view deck plans...

Yeah, that's what I was looking for, but not hide nor hair of the damn things - I found a few but they were all really small, to the point of being useless.

Trya few of these for inspiration (not sure if they contain deckplans as such but they'll certainly be handy for inspiration). They also have some great books about naval battles and sailors/troops which might be of value.

These two looked pretty good to me (although i haven't actually read them myself so you might be better trying to borrow them if possible).

As an alternative you may find something useful here:

I believe there are some galleon and clipper deckplans from the old D&D setting available from here and it may also inspire you for other races (I think the dragonship would be pretty good for Cathay or Nippon)
