Look, I know of the Bolter and Chainsword, and have haerd of Bootcamp in the passing, but are there any other 40k forums?

I don't need a link, but I would like a brief description of each (I.E., Bootcamp, which is a 40k forum generally discussing Imperial Guard).

If this is in the wrong place, would a Mod or an Admin move it?

Well there's Ammobunker for modelling/painting, BelloflostSouls for general hobby stuff and blog links, and Warpshadow for Nids.

The CSG, (The c'tan support group) is for necron related hobby

Edit: Oh there's also Dakka Dakka, haven't been there often, but from what I have gathered, its a 40k forum, smaller then warseer in size,

Librarium Online is a general 40K forum that's pretty good for getting expert advice, I find.

Papa Nurgle Forums, for all things disgusting and Nurgley. Good for a dip every now and then, but the automatic word-filters are out of control!

As well as blocking the usual swear words, the names of the three other Chaos Gods come up as "Angry Red Git", "Big Blue Chicken" and "Girly Pink Twink Boy", references to other 40k forums are met with "Every time you mention that name Mabs (a forum user) fondles a kitten", any use of text speak, netspeak or l33tsp33k accurately generates the phrase "I have nothing of value to add to this conversation" and just about anything else you write comes out as something else!

Some of the conversations are absolutely hilarious, although some are completely indecipherable.

That stuff just sounds funny, maybe Warseer should do that for some stuff!

Im member on Ctan Support Group (Necrons, as mentioned), Librarium Online, Necrontyronline (small forum, still starting out), The Tyranid Hive, Port Maw (BFG stuff), Warhammer40000.net (german forum), Adeptus Mechanicus, Specialist Games, and of course Warseer... Enough forums?

I frequent Astronomican, which I recommend as a Forum that discusses 40K and Fantasy (among other things!) and is smaller than Warseer so has a more personal feel to it, though is a little slower paced.

Warseer for the sharp & bustle, Astro for the cool & hustle.;)

Maybe. I'll check out Necrontyronline, and Adeptus Mechanicus.... Probably C'tan support group as well.

Astrominicon sounds worth checking out as well.

What is Bell of Lost Souls? I think I'll visit there, as it's been mentioned a couple times already.

I despise Nurgle.

40kOnline is good for all things 40k, they specalize in Eldar of both kinds but there is still really good info on all of the races.

there are also really good painting articles and konversions as well.

Its good for an occasional laugh, but there comes a point when reading a large discussion about Smelldar that the word Smelldar stops being funny and just becomes downright annoying!

To me Bell of Lost Souls acts as a resource centre, It provides reviews,Discussions,Rumors,News and many other things. Others will have different views but thats mine of it.

Headed over to the Necrontyr Online. Link for it is here.

http://necrontyronline.freeforums.org/

Seems nice enough, but really slow. Easy way to fix it, and that's why I am saying something here.

Notice, I will be heading to a couple other forums and "grading" them. If this is against forum policy, can a Mod or Admin let me know? If it isn't, can you let me know anyways? :D

But I find warseer the most useful as it has the largest following!

Hey guys, I once again would like to emphasize Necrontyronline for Necron fans/players. In about six months it will be very busy, at least according to rumours, and being there early = looking like you've been there forever (which you have).

Going to hit the Bell of Lost Souls next. Will edit this post when I come back.

I use Heresy-Online purely for its dedicated Black Library forum. The rest of the discussions I've seen in 40k general and background all seem a little.... "Duh!"-ish. But maybe that's just me.

Bell of Lost Souls is a great place to visit as it tends to collect all news, rumours etc. in one place.

Edit Off topic; I just googled necrontyr online as it's been mentioned here several times now. First result on google is the topic "Is it possible that the Necrontyr are the Tau?" from Tau Online.... oO

It should actually be the second result... I don't know why it wasn't the first result. Did you visit the site itself?

The-Waaagh is probably the best forum to find anything Ork-related. It's community is pretty laid-back and really cool as well.

I use /tg/ a lot for my wargaming needs. I understand that for some reason most people would rather avoid 4chan.

Yea the actual site was the second result. Had a nosy around necrontyr-online, there are some nice conversions on there! Seems a bit slow paced though, which is a bit of a turn off for me. Of course I find warseer (one of the busiest 40k forums I know of) isnt busy enough for me either ^^

That's due to it being a Wiki... and wikis are very... unreliable.

Also, what is TG?

/tg/ is the Traditional Games section of 4 chan, and it is often full of D&D and 40k threads. Its also where Angry Marines come from if I'm not mistaken.
