Some friends and I have recently started up with Infinity. I've decided to go with the Nomads faction. I'm starting my Nomads force off by going with the Corregidor sectorial sub list since it has almost all of its models out.

The official blurb on the Nomads is:

"The Nomads consist of three enormous ships whose inhabitants, discontented with a society controlled by huge macroeconomic blocks and by A.I., have separated themselves from it and roam through space, trading from system to system. Tunguska is dedicated to the traffic and storage of information. Corregidor offers skilled labour at a good price, while Bakunin trades in all that is exotic and illegal in whatever area, from fashion to nano-engineering"

I like the idea of Corregidor being a giant traveling spaceship full of PMCs like Blackwater. So I've decided that my Nomad troops from Corregidore are all from the "Mangrove Security LLC" Private Military Contractor based on Corregidore.

This is my first model:
Overall I'm pretty happy with it, but I really do need to work on the photography. I need to figure out something more for the base though. I want to go for a rusted industrial zone look for the base.

For my first 150 points I'm going with:
4 Alguaciles w/ combi-rifles
1 Intruder w/ combi-rifle
1 Intruder w/ Heavy Machinegun
1 Hellcat w/ Heavy Machinegun

I also impulse ordered a model that I could use as an Iguana TAG (Tactical Armored Gear, think crisis suit).

My goal is to put my foot down and finish all the miniatures in the 150 point list (and maybe the Iguana), and hopefully the project log will keep me honest.

Never heard of this before, sounds quite interesting. Hope to see more. :)

Nice start.
PanO man myself, but I MAY branch out to Nomads in future.
[Yu-Jing, skirt wearing werewolves of Ariadna and combine are all non-starters though].

I finished painting one more Alguacile. Not sure the green light on the wrist worked at all. Might paint it over.

I didn't base him yet (or even glue him into the base even), as I've got some wheels turning in the back of the brain on some basing ideas that I'm going to investigate this weekend.

The front shot is a little blurry, dunno what happened.

Not terribly pleased with the green lights on this one either.

I like the orange and green scheme, gives it a bit of an jail uniform look, fitting for the dirty nomads I'd say :P

For the Corregidor troops I went with orange to try and go for something that looks like it would fit in an industrial zone. Sort of orange = construction work vibe. I'm planning to have a different paint scheme for each ship.

I made two 'industrial zone'-ish bases last night, hopefully I'll get them painted and can get some pictures of the models based tonight.

The Intruder base didn't work out like I wanted it to. Was trying to have power cables come out of the pipe, but it just didn't work. Going to try putting a couple drops of water effect into the pipe though.

The Algucil didn't go into the base gently, so I've got a bit of damage that I still need to repair.

I need to do tighter trims on the edge of the grating on future bases too.

All in all I think they worked out well enough.

Finished a Hellcat and an Intruder with HMG, but forgot to take a picture of the Intruder.

Ooh, these look very nice! A great colour scheme - really brings out the Corregidor vibe IMO.

For criticism, the first Alguacile's white hair looks somehow off but I'm not exactly sure why. Also, I feel that a further highlight on the glowy parts would make them seem more glowy. Almost pure white, would be my suggestion.

Really liking you orange and green. The particular shades complement each other very nicely and your shading and highlighting is very nice. You are also making these at a nice, brisk pace - keep up the good work! These are going to look extremely good as a group.

Had some problems getting everything in focus.

Going to try the suggestion of using some white on the green on the next one. I'd be trying a neon yellow but it just wasn't visiable over the green.

Great stuff man!

Really like how you converted the flash suppressors, simple yet ingenious! :D

always love to see infinity models.

The white background may be part of the issue with focus.

Many autofocus systems can't handle plain white backgrounds.
Try a blue grad (which will make the orange and green pop!, btw) to fix it.

Nice work on the nomads, though. Keep it up.

Great start on the nomads.. just started them myself also..

Interesting start to 150 points too.. wondering how well the hellcat running solo will do though.. as without it on the table your down an order, but with it on the table too soon and he might take a bit too much punishment.

Anyways looking forward to seeing more pictures and how they come along..

We all love Infinity minis!

Nice stuff, and the bases really add the finishing touch.
