View Full Version : German Jump Inf

Lets skip the whole discussion about the Nazi army and focus on the similarities between this piece of technology and jump inf in 40K.

The first thing that comes to mind is landing once you jump. Those guys ain't armored to withstand a fall from any height and control of decent would be questionable at best. Anywho, I would have loved to see a guy jump with a panzerfaust and take out a tank while in the air. "Look Ma' I'm a Tau!"

You have seen the old Ork stormboys, with German WWI Pikelhelms ( spiked helmets), with added SS like runes on them....

And originally, the helmets and the design of the Wartrak.

There where several systems around at the time and landing was also a big concern then too.

The Hoppicopter was designed by Horace Pentecost of Seattle, Washington during World War II as a replacement for paratroopers’ parachutes. Twin co-axial rotors were powered by a 20 hp engine. A few test hops were made; however, relying on the pilots feet for landing gear was inherently dangerous. If the pilot stumbled on landing, the rotating rotors would quickly turn into thousands of lethal splinters.

Then it should be in M,P&T, not 40K Gen...

Contrary to popular belief and behaviour, 40K Gen is *not* the place to dump every Thread and hope the Mods will move it...
