Why isnīt there a dreadnought with an assault cannon on each arm? I think it would look cool.

Forge World makes one

Do they? There's no option for double assault cannons on any of the dreadnoughts, even the Mortis, and Forge World only sell a right hand assault cannon, not a left hand.

The original concept art by Jes Goodwin did have a twin-linked assault cannon on it.
They made it a single one on the actual model though.

You want lots of dakka on a dread?
Go "rifleman" pattern (twin linked autocannons on both arms).
Make sure you put the searchlight and radar array on it as well, for completeness,

They sell both left and right.
Sometimes nicknamed the Rifleman dread after the Robotech Rifleman.
I think FW has rules for it?
Edited for stupidity.:cries:

The OP is talking about assault cannons, NOT auto cannons, and i just checked forgeworld and couldn't find a left arm assault cannon on their site, not to mention its an illegal model anyways.

At least yor post finaly told me why everybody calls poor man's Mortis "a rifleman" these days. Thank you!

Agreed, a double assault cannon dread would look awesome. Esppecially if they're double twinlinked ACs. If I'd play marines, I'd convert one.

It would make a nice Apocalypse conversion :D

You have the Robotech and Battletech names mixed up there.
In Robotech, it was a Destroid Defender.

In Battletech (3025) it was a 'rifleman'.

/nerdrage over.

And I didn't even like robotech.

They also call it that because Chuck Connors is inside the dread.

I'd build it only to loot it and have an ork ride around in it.

I can forgive the blaphemy that is your last sentence due to beatin me tothe 'get your references straight nerdrage'. :D

@the OP: There is nothing stopping you from modelling a dread with 2 asscannons and having it 'count as' w/e as long as you tell you opponent before the game (having it painted would probably also help :p ).
