Why not have three Regiments of Swordsmen of 29 instead of the different totals?

Little artillery for an Empire army which is different. Where is the BSB going to be deployed?

Because he is accounting for the character models and how they will fit in those unites of 28 (mounted BSB) and 29 the warrior priest.

Btw sboy3000 you aren't getting the most bang for your points by avoiding making detachments. Detachments are very useful for manipulating how your enemy reacts and improving your tactical situation for your big blocks of infantry. Think about the baiting maneuvers, or screening, or counter charging. All of this helps you keep your big blocks safe for the real scrap. Just a thought.

One last thought, maybe a unit of crossbow men to switch out one of your handgunner units. You don't upgrade to a champion with a crossbow unit so you can make them a detachment and they shoot farther keeping pesky elves back. Plus that means if some one charges your infantry your crossbowmen mow the enemy down before contact.

just wondering, what are you going to do against magic heavy lists? You've got 3 dispel dice and no scrolls. if you're playing someone with rule of burning iron then that warrior priest's gonna get smacked and then your army is rocking out LD7!:cries:

I think LD9 is very important in an empire list, and a lord can take better magical protection like a ward save;).

He has faith in signar :p not like you heretic. Signar will never let a wizard cast is spells upon a member of the holy empire.

No just jocking, yeah you don't have so much of a dispelling.

Sooo, which block did you drop? And what are you using as detachments? And if you are bringing an arch lector on war altar then you might as well upgrade that wizard to lv2, because with the arch lector it is pretty magic heavy.

And your swordsmen and BSB points values are off.

droping the 30 swords men and making the handgunners detacments could not fit lv2 for the mage with what i wanted in the army also only 20 hand gunners droped the third for the mage
