Hi,

Do you guys know where I can find the official base size for all the monsters mounts available in the WoC book ?

Those all comes with the 50x50mm but I heard that the Deamonic mount can be legally placed on a regular cav base... is this true ?!?

Thanks,

GWI

Dragon 50x50 ?
Manticore 50x50 ?
Disc of Tzeentch ???
Steed of Slanesh ????
Palaquin 50x50 ?
Juggernault 50x50 ?
Deamonic Mount Cav or 50x50 ?!?

Official base size is what they come with. For chaos, all of those models are 50x50.

They're all *supposed* to go on 50x50mm large monster bases.
Except the Steed of Slaanesh which goes on a cavalry base.

As per the rules.
But your free to use whatever base your model comes with (within reason of course, no using chariot models and basing them sideways as daemonic mounts to benefit from the much larger base).

Eh? The steed model comes on monster base...

Well, technically there is no current model for the Steed of Slaanesh. The new plastic daemonette cavalry is riding them, though, which will make them easier to obtain.

The boobworm is counted as a regular Daemonic Mount now. But as I've said elsewhere, I think it would be fine to use it as a Steed of Slaanesh, since the base rules are flexible. Technically, though, Steeds of Slaanesh are on cavalry bases.

Oh far out... I hadn't realised that. My assumption was the old steed was still a steed >_>

Can't find the palaquin size anywhere, assume it's a 50x50, but since I haven't seen one I don't know. Was looking around on GW's webshop as well for a while, but no luck. Might also be blind, but any help would be appreciated.

It's a 50x50 base. One of the Nurgle Daemon special characters has one.

Ah, cheers, then I am working on the right base :p Had a sudden fear this morning I had done something stupid when I used a 50x50 base :D

Unless you have an older one, in which case it's 40x40. :)

There was a card insert in White Dwarf, published for 6th edition Warhammer, which gave the base size and Unit Strength for pretty much every model at the time. It still had its odd moments, though; High Elf griffons went on 40x40mm bases, Imperial ones went on 50x50mm bases.

Is there a resource somewhere that labels the appropriate base sizes for all of the units, characters, and mounts?

yeah, i still have my old hero on a disc from when they came with the old flying base myself. thankfully the new monster bases have the holes to mount the flying stand in.

there is no official list that displays all the base sizes currently, there are older ones on the net and GW had one on site, but every new armybook changes the list, they didnt keep up
