Hello Warseer,
Im not sure if u have put this in the right place or not, if not can a mod please tell me and i'll put it in the correct place :)

So the deal is i want to start a new army, and that army will be Dogs of war. I have planned it out in my head what models and things i will use for what on a BUDGET but cannot find a model i could use as a paymaster.

Now there has to be some DoW players out there and my question is, What model did you use for your paymaster or did you convert, if so what did u use as a base for the model.
As i have no experience with Green stuff at all i would like to try and stay away from that path but if there is no other option I should get some practice in.

so thanks in advance

AFAIK pretty much any model can be used as a paymaster, so I'd say just find one you like and try to get your hands on a small chest to pop on his base...

I have been wanting to try out a DoW army myself for some time and, personally, think that this (http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat1300136&prodId=prod1810008) would make an amusingly suitable paymaster ;) - either one would do :p

They did do a special character chap called Mydas the mean.

I use a chap built from the plastic empire command sprue from the old soldiers of the empire set. Hes got a flag AND a pile of chests and ledgers etc to keep track of the armys cash!

Id Build them from the Empire general set, maybe with the chest from the Bretonnian Men-at-Arms.

How about this one? Not officially legal, but if you mainly play against mates it should be cool...

I used this guy:

Works perfect for my Tilean theme.

I use this guy: http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat1290374&prodId=prod1120063

as paymaster on horse and Mydas as a paymaster on foot.

I used the chubby Rieklander captain from Mordheim on foot as mine (http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat1290375&prodId=prod1120033), converted to carry a crossbow. The idea was that Pontius Veal wanted to stay as far away from the actual fighting as possible, while still looking 'heroic and dashing'.

I really do need to dig them out and dust them off at some point.

I converted mine from an Old Empire Artillery Crew man.

But I also have a Mydas the Mean model as well. Realistically, any kind of Captain model can be the Paymaster, just add a bunch of keys to him or a treasure chest.
