Howdy,

I've been thinking about the future of the Chaos Dwarfs and what units could made their way in the codex...


CORE UNITS :

CHAOS DWARF WARRIORS
-Stats : same as dwarf warriors, could have hatred toward dwarfs...
-Weapons/Armour : hand weapon and heavy armour
-Options : halberd and chaos armour

IMMORTALS
Units of warriors can be upgraded to Immortals, but less units than warriors
-Stats : same as warriors but +1 WS and +1S (same as longbeard, but could be something else...)
-Weapons/Armour : great weapon and chaos armour
-Options : none, but should have some special rule...

SLAVE HUNTERS
-Stats : same as dwarf warriors, but always pursuit the ennemy...
-Weapons/Armour : 2 hand weapons and light armour
-Options : snare-net, repeater crossbow, scout, slave-catcher for champion (two hands to wield/killing blow)

CHAOS DWARF BLUNDERBUSSES
-Stats : same as warriors
-Weapons/Armour :hand weapon, blunderbusss and light armour
-Options : heavy armour, gun upgrade for the champion

HOBGOBLINS
-Stats : well, a hobgoblin...
-Weapons/Armour : hand weapon and shield
-Options : spear, light armour, short bow

HOBGOBLIN WOLF RIDERS
-Stats : hobgoblin and wolf
-Weapons/Armour : hand weapon and light armour
-Options : spear, shield, short bow

ORC/GOBLIN SLAVES
-do not count toward minimum core unit required
-do not cause panic to chaos dwarfs units when fleeing
-can be leaded by some chaos dwarf slave master...


SPECIAL UNITS :


BULL CENTAURS
-Stats : well, a bull centaur...
-Weapons/Armour : hand weapon and heavy armour
-Options : second hand weapon, great weapon, chaos armour

ROCKET LAUNCHERS
-Stats : same as warriors, but work in pair on a cavalry base like the skaven jezzail teams...
-Weapons/Armour : hand weapon, rocket launcher and heavy armour
-Options : some upgraded bazooka for the champion team...

SOME CHAOS DWARF DEAMONIC CANNON...
-works like a dwarf cannon
-can be customized with a combination of deamonic runes...

HOBGOBLIN CHARIOTS

HOBGOBLIN BOLT THROWER

0-1 BLACK ORCS


RARE UNITS :


HELCANNON

SOME CHAOS DWARF DEAMONIC CANNON (but bigger !!)

CHAOS DWARFS DEAMONIC STEAM TANK
-or some cool mechanical creation...

SLAVE GIANT

OGRES KINGDOM MERCENARIES
-Options : chaos armour ...


So what do you think ? Did I missed something ??

I don't know why industrialist dwarfs who dabble in magic do not have more Constructs. I'd like to see more stuff in the same vein as Juggernauts of Khorne. No reason not to have tortured soul slaves plugged into these daemon machines.

I think GW sees the future of chaos dwarfs as units in a chaos army, and not as a new army. Also since GW split chaos into 3 armys WFB has plenty of chaos armys as it is.
As for your list its ok but it could use a bit more color.

They are most likely going to drop all Orcs and Goblins except for Hobgoblins. Beyond that it's speculation. The CD community agrees with the included units they put into the Indy list, but beyond that who knows? GW (or Forgeworld) Could just come out of left field with something too....so who knows.

Why would a 'slave catcher' have killing blow - defeats the purpose, surely?!

I have problems excepting any Chaos Dwarf list that doesn't have Whirlwinds and Tenderisers, add swivel guns also. Have to agree with hobgoblins only, though I do have a fondness for Black Orcs in the army there's too much history between the two fluff-wise. Plus CDs are rock hard whether old school spiky or ridculously large hats.
