So I noticed in another thread that some people had been using reaper minis in thier 40k armies. I'm in the market for a new Demon Prince to fit my Steel Brethren fluff, and I was thinking something like a mech suit, with the MoT to show the advance shielding sciences, bolt of change to show the amazing capabilies of the firepower on the suit, and warptime to show the advanced tracking system incoperated in the suit. Has anyone tried using the reaper minis in thier army? And the scale is a little wierd in the pictures, so would any of the suits fit on a DP 60mm base, and would it look good?

I'm particularly looking at the Falcon: http://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures/CAV/sku-down/07051

The Specter: http://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures/CAV/sku-down/07001

and the crusader: http://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures/CAV/sku-down/07120

Thanks!

Intersting Idea- but I think you will find that the CAV minis are WAY too small to play "demon prince." Most of them are not much larger than a 28mm figure - so they would look tiny on a 60mm base.

For 40k scaled mecha - you may want to look at AT-43...

They're certainly bigger than a 28mm miniature. They'e stood on 40mm bases in those photos, and they're at least the size of an Ork mega-nob.

So it could work? Which one do you guys thinks fits best as a DP?

Ork meganobs are still significantly smaller than deamon princes. Might I suggest using these mechas as obliterators instead?

I am a big CAV fan. The CAV minis are technically (and currently!) 10mm in scale. I think that the hex bases are around 25mm across, if that helps. A 'standard' CAV mini would be about Wraithguard size.... although this is from memory. I can post size pics later if it would help.
