Afternoon chaps/chapesses,

Well i read Titanicus, i was inspired!

I had to do my own Titan legion, and have opted for Legio Victorum, a nice blue/yellow colour scheme, for some big stompy God Machines.

I ordered a FW Reaver and two Warhounds last week, these have now been assembled and painting is in progress ( i will update later with warhound pic, at work atm).

I also won an ebay auction last night an acquired this:

now it's incomplete, but i got it for a reasonable price, rather than the > 60 complete badly painted ones go for. My current idea is to remove the three remaining corner towers and replace them with FW epic hydra flak batteries, replace the rear defence laser with something, and add something to replace the centre gun thats also missing. Other plans are to beef parts up, and add cabling etc, and stick it on a nice base. However if the great and good of Warseer have any ideas for minor conversion tweeks, please let me know.

I can't promise rapid updates, as work etc has a habit of taking up time, but it's the first time in a long while since i've felt this enthused about painting.

On a sad note...i used to have a vast collection of epic inclusing various titan and two yes two imperators, however when my parents moved house they were laid to rest at the local tip!

TTFN

Andy

Always good to see some Epic players. :)

The Titans are pretty awesome. I especially like the paint-job since it really catches my eye but is still a very simple scheme.

Nice!

It's always cool to see Warhounds on the move!

:D Thanks, big compliment coming from you C&E.

The main reason they are on the move is becasue in my FW Warhound order i got six feet, all of which were in the running\leaning form, no flat feet at all. But to my mind Warhounds should always be on the move!

Huh, that's odd.

yeah i thought so too, but never mind. I have two spare feet if anyone wants them.

My imperator turned up today :D i forgot how big it was, it's massive!

My current plans are to have two original rear turrets, then have two hydra flak guns mounted on the front turret points and possible fit one in in the centre as well, that way it will maintain its height, but look super shooty. Over all it's in good nick, just a little tidying here and there to be done.

looking fantastic, you certainly are doing the Legio Victorum proud fella, what paints are you using to build up that yellow?

Thanks :)

Basecoat of black, followed by Iyandun Darksun, wash of brown GW wash, followed by Golden Yellow and finally a light layer of sunburst yellow.

The iyandun darksun really helps with coverage, so the other two layers go on pretty well. I was pretty worried about doing yellow at first as it's a right pain, but only using it in key areas really helps.

The blue for anyone interested:

black basecoat, dry brush bolt gun all over, then Necron abyss, then mordian blue then ultramarine blue (follow my recipe as described in my UM log).

I don't know if it's visible in the pics, but on the hards edges of the carapace etc i've also used a pencil to give a worn edge effect.
