Apparently, the STank is now affected by magic except Pit of Shades...

Well if the Germans figures it out I hope they teach it to the English speaking staff ;)

Interesting... Wardrum of Xahutec is also completely different from the (original) English text...

Is it the same as the new English FAQ?
(the wardrum I mean)

I don't think there is a new English FAQ yet. However yes it seems the Steam Tank is now subject to magic and Vampire Counts get unbreakable and unstable.

I meant to say...

Is the New German 8th Lizardmne FAQ of the Wardrumm of whatever...
the same as the Origional 8th edirion Lizardmen FAQ of the Wardrumm of whatever...

I suppose so, they just changed it so they automatically pass their march test if enemies are within 8".

Uhhhhh.

That means it can be healed. Yikes.

On the other hand, a single casting of the metal lore magic would likely destroy it.

I don't know about that... crippling it is more likely.

Still this is very fun news :)

Anything new about Skaven SiN and Steadfast?

No, the Skaven FAQ is apparently unchanged except for they added that there is no SiN Ld bonus for them while in buildings.

That makes perfect sense to me :)

What exactly is the issue with SIN? I'm guessing it's an issue of unmodified leadership with Steadfast?

I'm just so glad that the FAQ's are being updated quickly. The "living document" thing is long overdue.

Although I'm not sure why the steamtank would be immune to spell A "take an I test or be removed" but not to spell B "take an I test or be removed".

But then, GW decided to make the top cleric have a harder time praying than his underlings, so who knows :D

English faqs are up now, at least on the US site.

Ah, they acknowledged the fact that Dwarve cannons do D6 damage anyway ^^

Dark elf one has what I think is a bit of an oddity.

When deciding whether to apply manbane rending stars as S6 or 7 it states the player whose turn it is chooses.

So that's basically S7 in the shooting phase and S6 when using them to stand and shoot.

I figured they would.

I'm really surprised by the change to the Steam Tank:

Steam Tank, Magic phase
Ignore this paragraph.

They've made this interpretation in several instances. There is one example of a close combat character that is S10 in the owning player's turn and S9 in the opponent's. Seems like an overly complicated cop-out interpretation; they should just make a decision which way it's going to be and stick with it rather than having it flip-flop.

I don't really get why they just can't give a direct answer instead of the crappy "the player whose turn it is chooses" answer they seem to put on everything.

But lower down in the FAQs it says that the Steam Tank is immune to Pit of Shades.

Shame they haven't amended the TK one to actually allow characters on chariots to join units of chariots.

The German and the English version of Ring of Hotek are still different...
I also wonder why the English erratas use magenta to highlight updates, whereas the German ones use red :D

They need to clarify what "casts" means. Is it where you are using magic from, or both the mage and the target within twelve like before. Also, they teased us with AoE working then took it away. Oh well never used to ring anyway.
