this is my first post and my first blog, please excuse my poor english

this blog is in 2 parts : DG and LATD models

the story :
my best friend and I, will go to a cooperation tournament next month, he has to re-paint his death guard and I said : “give me your tanks, I'll paint them, it will be faster”
we will go to another cooperation tournament the month after so I decide to build a little LATD army to go with his DG

the models :
DG : 2 (old school) rhinos, 1 autocanon predator, 1 rhino turned to a lascan predator and a dread
LATD : 1 boss with deamonic speed, 1 obliterator, 4x8 renegades, 5 rough riders and a leman russ

the pics :
here are the pics of the converted tanks :

I LOVE the rhino with the wooden and stell wheels instead of tracks.. inspired I say. Glad that someone is still using the older rhinos :)

The nurgly look from the masses of dremmel marks looks good too.

The dread sure is tall :) But looks good other than the DW shoulder pad for his belly... I'd suggest just a bit of green stuff for a distended belly. The DW pad is to recognizable ... you might even mold in a bit of the Zombie guts leaking out with GS?

All in all a great start.
Thanks for sharing.

I really like the cloth-draped skeleton horse. Its death, ha. I also like the dread and the mixture of renegade models.

Nice mix of model sources for the renegades, especially the delaques and preachers.
One thing I thought Id mention about the LaTD list though is the first 2 'compulsary' traitor (renegades) squads must be 15 models. Considering this is wip you probably had that in mind already.

besides that great job!

great stuff, i like the color scheme and the rough riders are great. i like the one who looks like he will shoot his donkey if it doesn't cooperate. I like the healthy mix of different models.

thank you for the comments

dugaal, you are right, I knew I had to read the book before building an army the 4x8 traitors (renegades;) will become 2x15+6 traitors

I need your help
I want a squad of 5 rough riders, and each of them to be a little “funny story”
I already have 3: the guy menacing his donkey, the human bomb chained to his horse, and the guy followed by a chaos hound trying to eat his guts
I need help to find the 2 other “funny stories” including a mount (horse, dog, boar…) and a zombi rider

oh and here are the pics of one of the (semi-painted) predators:

I'll try to mask the DW Shoulder with some paint

maybe a roughrider facing the wrong direction in his saddle?
holding on for dear life/flying off of the back of his steed?

How about a having one of the riders carrying his steed into battle?

I was thinking that I can use the hanging cow of the new whb giant model and the rider pulling, carrying or even cooking his cow
