Even though 2.5k will be the most played points amount under the new rules, I've designed me a 1k list to play with. Based on a single Battalion box, the sorcs will be made of a marauder and a warrior with simple conversions

19 Marauders of Khorne - 145
-Flails
-Full Command

11 Warriors of Khorne - 247
-Halberds and Shields

5 Knights of Nurgle - 305
-Full Command
-Warbanner

Total: 997
Models: 47

Sorcs join Khornate units, Fire into Marauders and Death into Warriors. (!)

I like it. The only thing I'd suggest would be removing the Warhounds and adding more Marauders/Warriors to their respective unit, but it's a bit hard when the Battalion is your basis.

I think it's good, though.

I would swap mark of nurgle for mark of khorne on the knights simply so they get enough attacks to ensure they win combat and they wont be running away any time soon :)

Looks about as good as you can do with just using a battalion box...I agree that you should go with MoK on your knights, then you are going mono-god with enslaved sorcs to protect you from the magic that your god oh-so-hates.

Full command is good for all of your units to protect sorcs, maybe un-needed with knights in fact you could switch to the blasted standard if you don't take the champ...just something to think about.

I really hate comments like this. They aren't even worth reading.

Maybe, oh I dunno, you could suggest what to swap out for some Spawn or how to get more models?

In the rule book it says that halberds require 2 hands to use.
And as such you cannot give them a shield aswell.
Or do WoC have special rule for this?

They require 2 hands to use in close combat. You can still have a shield, just not use it at the same time.

A spawn might be a good addition to the list, but what to drop? Even though the warhounds got worse in this edition, I still like to have something dirt-cheap that I can throw away to ensure the success of other units... At this points amount bigger units could still be better though. Revised list as per suggestions, Khornate Knights entering the fray!
