And does anyone still play it?

I know I could just go to the GW site, but I prefer to check here first. Nice to see if it is still alive in the community.

Anyway, I enjoy Road Warrior type stuff, and thought this was a better game than Car Wars. Any life left in it? Is it a Specialist game?

Thanks

I have the old set but have not played it in well over a decade. Went back and looked at the rules recently to see if it would be good to bring to a boardgaming day and they seemed really long.

This thread has a recent discussion of the out of print game rules including some dark future.

Hmm if you haven't looked back at Car Wars in a while you should check out the semi-more-recent Car Wars 5th edition (http://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/3183/car-wars-5th-edition). It simplifies the game and aims it at Hot Wheels and the Turning Key. I know you said you liked Dark Future more, but maybe compare again. I've enjoyed many a grid-less game of 5th edition (http://www.flickr.com/photos/sunny-highway/sets/72157625102405204/).
