heyy,, looks like a cool list, althought i wouldnt use the slann how you are..

i'd give him plaque of tepok and lore of light.. 50 points to know all spells is a bit too pricey imo when u can spend 15 points and have all the spells you want 99% of the time. also light is a lot better support for warriors with the ASF spell and I10 spell as well as all the others.

im also not fully convinced on the cold ones in 8th as well,, maybe drop them for a chief with staff of light for in a skink unit and another 1-2 units of skinks?? or maybe put a skink with staff on a terradon for war machine hunting and another unit of skinks??

Switch the 1x10 skink skirmishers for a normal unit of skinks. Javelins are way better than blowpipes in the edition.

Get a few points from somewhere to make the unit of skinks 15+. This way you have a nice, fast flanker, that can break ranks and shoot while moving.

Javelins better?

Not in ranked units as they cannot march and fire-skirmishers can.

I have replaced all my skink skirmishers with chameleons though-the new scout rules and BS4 are vicious.

Yeah the blowpipes are far better than javelins imo.

Planning on using the skinks to cover my saurus as they advance while peppering the enemy with poisen.

I know that everyones still unsure about cavarly in 8th ed but ive got the models so might aswell use them, there my back up plan anyway to attack the enemys flanks and break them whilst the saurus engage them from the front (well thats the plan stupidity alllowing).

Increase your Temple guard to 20, they need the staying power now they can't use their shields in combat

Becalming cogitation is incredibly worthwhile on the Slann as it totally screws the casting power of your opponents, esp in regard to the more destructive, high level spells.

Drop the cold one riders, they are almost totally worthless in 8th as they will not strike before anything and you'll almost certainly lose them before they get chance to hit, put the points towards an ancient steg, or a regular steg if you're really strapped for points.

Also if you can, I would drop one of your skink skirmish units, and either put their points towards more temple guard or get a second unit of chameleons, they are probably among the best warmachine hunters of 8th Edition.

Also think about splitting the Salamanders down, I usually run 2 independent packs, each with an extra handler.
