View Full Version : Characteristic tests

I was checking the book yesterday and i found nothing talking about what modifiers apply to a characteristic test.

What i mean is,what happens when magic items or magic affect a model required to take such a test.

Anybody knows what happens, cause from what i saw nothing prevents someone for saying i have a +1 str magic item and using it in a str test(which is stupid imho).

If a model has an item that raises his stats (potion of toughness for example) he uses his modified value, unless the test in question specifies that unmodified value is to be used. Note that some magic items, like most common magic weapons, only add a stat bonus to somethign specific, like "attacks resolved at +1str". In these cases, models statline is obviously not changed.

It's in the BRB FaQ/Errata.

Spells, effects and items except for weapons affect the stat for stat test purposes. Weapons do not.

In both cases, unless specified otherwise by the item/spell/effect, as usual.
