well hey all, I made a list while back and although I liked the notion of it all... I wanted to change it up and go for something a bit creative....

The list is supposedly balanced (or at least that's how I see it) and I can happily change it around to fit my needs (if I ever want)

so here's my list(s) that I'm planning to use:

Plan A):
Lords:
Cedrik Von Kreig (General of the empire) -192
Shield, Pistol, Dawn Armor, Holy Relic, Sword of Might

Ganrald the Grey (Wizard Lord)-290
Lv4 with Lore of Shadows, Rod of power, Shroud of Magnus

-Heroes:
Jheriko Cross (Warrior Priest)-128
Heavy Armor, Two-handed Hammer, Van Horstmann's speculum

Heinrich Faust (captain)- 113
Battle Standard Bearer, full Plate, Enchanted Shield, Icon of Magnus

Oskar Van Leopold II (Master Engineer)-82
Light Armor, Repeater Handgun

Troops:
-Core:
The Iron Cross Guard (40 Halberdiers)-220
Full Company

The Dancing Dukes (25 Swordsmen)-175
Full Company
Detachment: The Duke's Violinists (10 Crossbowmen)-80

-Special:
The Scarlet Guard (22 Greatswords)-260
Full Company, Banner of Eternal Flame
Detachment:the Reikland Sea dogs(2 units of 5 free company) 100

Otto's Hunt Patrol (5 Outriders)-134
Musician, Champion with Hochland Longrifle

Roaring Kate (Great Cannon) 100

Ol' Betty White (Mortar)-75

-Rare:
Ol Samuel MkIV (Helstorm rocket battery)-115
------------------------------------
It's basically shooty with heavy infantry in it (like the IG in 40k I guess or something similar) I'm going to put my General in the Greatsword unit and my BSB in the Swordsman unit along with the Wizard... Warrior Preist Joins the Halberdier Horde... and then the Engineer plays Musician with the Warmachines and throws pigeon bombs when not doing anything (or sniping people)

Outriders are my Hunter unit...
-------------------------------------
Plan B):
with a few tweeks I can return it to what I originally made

Cedrik Von Kreig (General of the Empire) -210
Barded Warhorse, Shield, Lance, Dawn Armor, Holy Relic, Sword of Might

Ganrald the Grey (Wizard Lord)-290
Lv4 with Lore of Shadows, Rod of power, Shroud of Magnus

-Heroes:
Jheriko Cross (Warrior Priest)-128
Heavy Armor, Two-handed Hammer, Van Horstmann's Speculum

Heinrich Faust (captain)- 88
Battle Standard Bearer, enchanted shield, Full Plate

Troops:
-Core:
The Iron Cross Guard (40 Halberdiers)-230
Full Company, Banner of Duty

The Dancing Dukes (25 Swordsmen)-175
Full Company
Detachment: The Duke's Violinists (10 Crossbowmen)-80

The Order of the Silver Lion (9 Knightly Orders)-247
Full Company, Banner of Eternal Flame

-Special:
The Scarlet Guard (22 Greatswords)-260
Full Company

Otto's Hunt Patrol (5 Outriders)-134
Musician, Champion with Hochland Longrifle

Roaring Kate (Great Cannon) 100

Ol' Betty White (Mortar)-75

A bit less shooty and a bit more fighty, While I don't have anything great like a helblaster or a helstorm, the Knightly order does well as it is... It's designed to be the ones that takes on the nasties that burn easy (such as trolls and HPA's) and hopefully the general can do some damage with these guys (though he's made to survive not to kill) Fire support is still lethal but not as devistating as Plan A...

I'd like some Ideas on what people like more, or if they have any alterations that they would like to suggest, I'm all ears

Can't take any mundane equipment on the BSB besides armor and barding for the horse. That means no pistol. Your plan B list neglected to give him ANY armor, so fix that.

I think you're overspending in a big way on the Engineer, since most of his time will be spent babysitting your artillery. The engineer specials are cute, but honestly wouldn't he just be better off with a repeater handgun for scaring off light cavalry? (or nothing at all, especially if you take the Hellstorm he's going to be too busy making re-rolls)

I'd try to find a way to fit in some cheap 5-man detachments to throw in front of your blocks and redirect/provide hard cover from enemy shooting. Even if they're not good enough to disrupt, you could potentially throw them into an existing combat for a +2/+3 res bonus from charging and hitting flanks/rear.

If you can afford it give somebody Van Horstman's Speculum as insurance against enemy characters. I sometimes use a Lore of Shadow wizard myself, and the lore's attribute of swapping characters can let you hop your speculum equipped character exactly where he needs to be.

ah I see the problems....

still will plan A or B be a good Idea?
