Simple army see what you think also I would love ideas to extend it to 3500 points.

Teclis 475

16 White lions and command 270pts

16 Pheonix Guard and command 270pts

24 Sea Gaurd, command ad shields 337pts

24 Sea Gaurd, command ad shields 337pts

22 Sea Gaurd, command ad shields 311pts

Thats it really can swap Lions and Pheonix Guard for Swordmasters as they all cost the same. Thinking of loosing the 22sg unit for a bolt thrower, chariot and some thing extra.

Post away my friends!

Ehum, if you got 337 points for 24 sea guards, how can you get 22 sea guards to 331 points? :P

Aren't they like 12 points each without upgrades?

Yes it was meant to be 311 just my ham hands in the way.

Curse of arrow attraction ftw?

I'd rather have swordmasters over lions, but hey they are stubborn so that's cool.

Teclis is mental.

Eagles are excellent for getting in the way and warmachine hunting. You generally need 2 as 1 will fail.

Yeah I like Teclis nice and simple to use, So what we are saying is drop the 22 seas guard.
Then Add

2 Eagles 100pts
1 Bolt thrower 100pts
leaving 111pts maybe reinforce the other SG units?

Some hero support would be nice. Add a BSB and/or a level 2 mage to support teclis would help.

A BSB with GW and Golden Armor (+2 save) comes in at 143.
Level 2 mage with Sliver Wand (+1 spell) is 145.

Both are cheap and will help. Of course if you add the second mage, the banner of Sorcery on your WL/PG almost becomes a must.

I think seaguard work best in units of 20, tyhere martial prowess and small base size means when staggered or on flanks, numbers will count for little (see battle of thermpladyae/300 :p). 2 units like that, with shields, full command is a good core filler.

I think 14 swordsmasters would work better thean 14 white lions. I also think 25 Pg's would be a great Teclis bunker (again small frontage/maximum ranks/300-stylie)

Bolt throwers are good, but i find they wrok best when taken in stupidly large numbers. I would personally take 5 in 2,5k, but thats quite cheesy. 3 is a good number for 2k, some decent firepower. and eagles are good, but i just would rather have solid firepower than buddgies.

And when you say teclis is easy to use, you mean idiot proof :D

Just kidding
