Hi guys,

I've worked out a list using all/most of the VC models I own and ended up with about 2750pts worth. This isn't unworkable but since my gaming group plays either 2000 or 2500pt games its not exactly ideal.

To be honest, this is an army I've had lying around in my cupboard for a while and have recently dusted off. It was my first army back when I was just a wee lad and seeing as I was terrible back then I've got little idea of what I need to include.
So hopefully some of the experienced VC players out there can tell me what I can safely cut and/or change to get things in line :)

With so much stuff, you will have to lose some serious substance for 2,500. Drop the 2 skellie units down to 20, and drop the banshees down to 5. Then, i would drop a necro mancer and add a basic campire with forbidden lore, lore of light.

Dropping skellies isn't a problem since that just gives me some to raise. Can I ask though why lord of Light? I'd heard Shadow was the one most useful to VCs?

Personally I don't think skullies are all that useful in the new edi compared with Ghouls, you might consider just dropping an entire unit of them. Some of the best performing lists in 8th for VC's that I've seen are the GG deathstar with some horde units of Ghouls backing it up, but that's just a thought but as long as your taking a bsb with a magic banner make it the regen banner and stick it in the GG. Your list also wouldn't loose much if you dropped the banshee and you could probably get away with just 1 cart.

For 2500 I'd drop one necromancer and one Corpse cart. Trim the skeletons and maybe a single wraith until you're below 2500. For 2000 I'd drop an entire unit of skeletons a necro and both carts. Then shave as desired for the remainder.

Light because of the speed of light, time warp buffs that make VC bog standard units so good. Zombies and skellies take on a whole new light with time warp/speed of light on the unit

So, I've made a few changes:

- Took out both skeleton units to be replaced with 2 units of 30 Crypt Ghouls.

- Dropped one necromancer for another vampire with forbidden lore.

- Dropped a Corpse Cart.

- Dropped the Wraith unit down to 5 including the banshee.

- Gave the Wight King the Drakenhoff Banner.

The whole lot now totals 2495 pts. Only thing that worries me is only having 4 (5 with wraiths) units for that amount, but I guess that's normal for Vc's?

Do you guys reckon this would be a better list? Running ghouls with a Grave Guard deathstar and wraiths? My zombies and skellies I'd just raise during the game.

'tis a far better list. Very VC typical nowdays.
