I have a friend who plays Lizardmen and uses Becalming Cogitation. and naturally as heavy magic users we need to know how bad it gets. so I did a little scripting to get the bellow tables:

Well, you can memorise that OR you can just go with the average casting being 2.5 if cogitation is used and go from there.

Also the chance of rolling that natural 1 or 2 or failing to cast is very high with 2 dice, so as a rule if under the influence of cogitation use 3 or more dice and assume an average casting roll of 2.5 per dice.

yeah I think I forgot to account for rolling snake eyes on the 2Dice table.

Good table.
I think, when I really want a spell to go off against Becalming I will check the number I need to roll(after modification) and roll half that number of dice. 5 die for a 10, 4 for an 8 and so on.
