Heya, I've been messing around with Blood Angels in 40k for a while, and decided to have a go at Fantasy at long last. Since i admit i play a very mainstream force in 40k i decided to go for something a little different in Fantasy and settled on Ogre Kingdoms... because they look amazingly fun.
I will readily admit my experience with Fantasy is limited, so i have likely missed some tricks here and there but i hope this list is a good starting point

Tyrant (Nigh-invincible in combat, challenges good option?) 270
(Cathayan Longsword, Greyback Pelt, Glittering Scales)

Butcher (Gut magic on everything possible, as much as possible) 165
(Healing Potion)

Butcher (see above, with Dispel Scroll for Purple Sunís etc.) 155
(Dispel Scroll)

5x Bulls (Dispel Scroll Butcher goes in here) 185
(Bellower)

6x Bulls 210

5x Ironguts (Healing Potion butcher goes here) 250
(Bellower)

20x Gnoblar Fighters (Sharp Stuff everywhere) 42
(Groinbiter)

20x Gnoblar Fighters (see above) 40

7x Gnoblar Trappers (distraction) 42

4x Leadbelchers (Shoot whatever I donít want getting too close) 220

Gnoblar Scraplauncher (Kill everything thatís in a big group) 165

2x Maneaters (Escort Tyrant to make him stubborn and hit harder) 180
(Heavy Armour and Great Weapons)

Gorger (Hunt Warmachines or just cause mayhem) 75

Total: 1999

Thanks in advance for any feedback or improvement you could suggest

tyrants far from invincible, he has no armour save of any kind. Mawseeker would be a good option on him aswell, combine that with heavy armour and the 5+ward item in the ogre book, Wyrdstone neckalce? and you have a pretty solid tyrant, i run him with a thundermace, 5 + ward, mawseeker, fistful of laurels and heavy armour. overall list looks ok, ive found in my games that leadbealchers do nothing, but run them and see how things go, scraplaucnehrs are ace, gorgers are sweet, ide have a bsb instead of one butcher aswell as they are endlessly usefull.

8th demands a Bsb-no doubt.

4+ ward on a Tyrant is good and extra attacks is always nice-keep him alive for Ld and ward up your Bsb they are soooo important now.

Another Scrappie would be good.

I would go thundermace,5+ward save and mawseeker for tyrant

drop a butcher for bsb keep dispel scroll

join the gnoblar units and drop the leadbelchers for somthing else more bulls or ironguts imo

I've listened to your advice and modified my list as follows, i put in the slaughtermaster because i'm not convinced in my Ogres ability to take punishment without some gut magic protection, either through their remains in play spells or simply providing more magical protection. Also the Ogre book states a model with the BSB can only take magic standards, so no Ward Save for him.
Also i switched to the Thundermace for no reason beyond the fact it's cool.

Tyrant (Nigh-invincible in combat, challenges good option?) 289
(Thundermace, Wyrdstone Necklace, Mawseeker, Heavy Armour)

Bruiser 160
(BSB, Lookout Gnoblar)

Slaughtermaster (Gut Magic everywhere) 200

5x Bulls (Slaughtermaster goes in here) 185
(Bellower)

6x Bulls 210

5x Ironguts (BSB goes here) 250
(Bellower)

40x Gnoblar Fighters (Sharp Stuff everywhere) 82

7x Gnoblar Trappers (distraction) 42

3x Leadbelchers (Shoot whatever I donít want getting too close) 165

Gnoblar Scraplauncher (Kill everything thatís in a big group) 165

2x Maneaters (Escort Tyrant to make him stubborn and hit harder) 180
(Heavy Armour and Great Weapons)

Gorger (Hunt Warmachines or just cause mayhem) 75

The errata alows your BSB to take items. I would deffinitly give him either a 4+ wards save or mawseeker and the 5+ ward save and a look out gnoblar.

List starting to look better. The slaughtermaster is a tough call. You get an extra +2 comared to a butcher but you now dont have a dispel scroll. In my opinion gut magic is at best offensive magic deffense,( if you know what I mean) you will always get a few spells off and any ones that stick around your oppenent needs to spend power dice on to dispel. Ideally I would take two butchers so I could spam more spells before a slaughtermaster IMO.

List looking good so far. Imo, the slaughtermaster is well worth the points because, due to the fact that a unit cannot have multiple gut magic buffs on it, the 12 inch spell range the slaughtermaster has is very useful.

I would also ditch the trappers for another bull, and maybe get rid of the scraplauncher in favour of 5 bulls (if you could find some points), but if you like the scraplauncher then keep it, but imo 5 bulls will do more

Otherwise list looking good so far!

The Sluaghtermaster shoud have a ward save of some kind. Don't bother with one Gorger, he'll get shot to ****, two Gorgers work best. I'd get the tyrnat some better armor, and if you want him to be good at challanges, a Cathayan Longsword is really good.
