I wasnt entirely sure where to post this so sorry if it's in the wrong place.

But, could anybody tell me how I could go about getting my hands on some of these?

Cheers for the name, I tracked him down on librarium online.
Your right though, he doesn't seem to have been on for close to a year :(

Would love some of these if anyone knows how to get hold of them - even just the heads would be good.

Well I found this http://www.lostclan.net/Lostclan/Store.html Which I'm assuming is the guy who sculpted and cast the original full set

I've been in contact with the creator, and he says he's selling them for $45+shipping per set.

"each set comes with 13 heads, including officer head 10
normal torso 1 sgt torso 10 sets of legs and one officer arm with
sword. I can also sell them in a 5 pack which will include 6 heads 5
torso and 5 sets of legs for $30.00 or a officer squad of 5 models
which include the same as the 5 pack + a sprue of officer parts for
35.00" This is the same set of sprues shown in the link in the OP.

If you're interested, contact him at lostclanhobbies at gmail dot com.

If there's anyone else who is interested in just getting a bunch of heads, let him know. Apparently if he gets enough interest, he might make another sprue with that in mind.

I have a bunch of the line troops, just wish the cast quality was better. Also wish I could have got the sergeant and officer/commissar stuff.

I don't suppose you could post some pictures? 45usd (which is what, five pounds?:p) is a lot to spend on conversion bits for a single squad of IG if the quality is not so good.

The Bitz I got from Doctor Thunder were top notch since he'd had quite a bit of practice on other projects by that point.

From what I understand that guy at lost clan hobbies is the man that sculpted them fro doctor thunder? Doctor thunder to just gathered the initial money and distributed them.

I'm talking to the guy at lost clan hobbies at the moment and hopefully odering a set soon, I'll make sure to tell you what they're like :)

From my many conversations with Doctor Thunder about these and other resin figures I bought, I'm pretty sure that if he wasn't the sculptor, then he was part of the team. He was able to address quailty control issues (with certain other items, not the female *IG* bitz) and Post replacement Bitz immediately.

Well I've just ordered a set from lost clan hobbies, heres me hoping that it will arrive soon

Ditto. I remember the quality being fairly pants on the sets I bought, but they were the initial release (in 2005 or so), so hopefully practice makes perfect.

I too signed up and paid as part of the initial project in the 'Pheonix' club and the first sprues were very poorly done with bubles and lots of flash.

I later got some much better ones directly from Darksoul but he proved very difficult to contact and orders took a lot of chasing and in excess of 6 months from payment - and I know several others in the UK who had similar issues. I note that Darksoul has set up the Lost Clan site and hope that he is much quicker to reply and send out bits and more reliable in terms of being contactable

Eventually I did get my bits but only after a lot of chasing - and by which time my project ideas had moved on.

The quality of the bits though is very good and if you get them I am sure you will be pleased.

Anyone have any pics of the ones they've recieved and assembled? I'm thinking of buying a set (or two) but i'd like to see a few 'finished' pics first before I commit myself...

Being unemployed I have to be careful with my money :shifty:

Hmm, well Im hoping darksoul wont be too difficult to get them off. He's been very good with communication so far and said they should ship next week so fingers crossed not too long till I get them, then I'll post some pictures for you wasp.

the models are decent. Lots of filling to do on osme of them, others are just perfect.

I was one of the generation one guys who was part of the original group.

They do build easy, I didn't have any gaps. The only real issues where the hair on a few, but a little work, and they are an excellent addition.

The bodies are slightly smaller than the Cadian figures which means the arms can look a little too large.

This is the only finished model that I have;

This one uses the Legs and Torso from the Infantry set;

Mine must have been some of those early ones then.

Doc Thunder organised getting the project off the ground. He arranged for a sculptor, and for someone to cast them. The very first sets from Phoenix were quite bad. Darksoul volunteered to take over casting and Doc sent him the original sculpts.

The Darksoul casts were much better, very clean. However, Darksoul does seem to have a habit of promising to send stuff and it not appearing, then not responding for months on end. My most recent purchase from Darksoul took over 11 months from the initial "I'm posting them next week" to finally receiving them, and that including months of no contact and having to ask other people who were in contact to ask him about my figures. Don't hold your breath till you have the figures in your hands.

2nd casts by Darksoul:

I've got a bunch of these assembled byut no pics, if I get chance next time I'm in my attic I can take some if there is any interest.

Yep, I have the Phoenix casts. If I could get some of the newer ones, I would do so, add a couple more squads to my force.

It looks like I got the first edition ones, but they were in much better condition than those photos show. I also picked up some female Marines (in about the condition in the photos), and some female Terminators (condition ranging from great to terrible...in fact the first ones were so bad I complained and was shipped replacements, which were in much better condition). Seeing the 2nd Edition ones makes me a little bit grumpy about what I paid for the 1st Edition ones... :shifty:

Thanks Spacker. :)

A bit too cartoony, if that is the right word, for my tastes, but I'm really fussy when it comes to female models.
