Is the picture of Kharn in PHWE colours, in Collected Visions, the only picture we have of a PHWE with bunny ears?

To be absolutely honest hes not really in PHWE colours is he? His armour is grey with gold trim, a far cry from white and blue of the legion, also the helmet mounts are more like flattened horns or a metal centurion's plume (albeit one that doesn't meet in the middle) than the Khornate runeform sported by beserkers now.

He's in the Warhound colors. You'll note all the soldiers around him are in gray also. That must be before they found Angron. That or the 8th Company is a specialist formation and are distinguished color wise.

Is the grey with gold trim the official scheme of the Warhounds?

I suspect not, as Kharn explains to Angron in After Desh'ea that the Emperor named the 12th the Warhounds 'after the white hounds sent into battle by the warriors of Yushk' (paraphrase, but these hounds were definitely white)..

The Twelfth Legion, later known as the World Eaters, were nicknamed the War Hounds by the Emperor prior to the discovery of their Primarch Angron.

I cant place the memory of which book its from.. but after Angron took control of his legion is slayed the first captain and another captain. Kharn was one of the few who escaped his wrath.

It's from the story "After Desh’ea" by Matt Farrer from "Tales of heresy".
