Hi, There this is the start of my lastest Commission with Winterdyne Commission Modelling and I am now available for commissions with Winterdyne Commission Modelling found HERE. The job is make a display of all the First Founding Legions of the Space Marines. This will include 15 Marines, 3 Terminators and a custom built display base. Today, Work started with the first two Marines (Ultramarines & Emperors Children).

After this I started painting with pre-shading with an airbrush. I sprayed the Ultramarine with mordian blue then highlighted with mordian blue & space wolves grey taking care to leave the shadows. I did same for the emperors children except with different colours using liche purple for a basecoat and then highlighting with liche purple and kommando khaki.

Great idea, something I have wanted to do for some time. With the quality of work associated with Winterdyne this should be another bookmark in the Internet Explorer for reference.

Here is the second installment of "The Legions of the Space Marines".

I have assembled seven more legions which include a Librarian, a Chaplain and Marines with flamers, meltas and a missile launcher.

Here is my work in progress Thousands Sons Librarian which still needs some more work like adding studs to the left leg and making some new armour pannels for the right shoulder. This is has been heavily converted using a variety of bits, a bit of sculpting like the loin cloth made from greenstuff and a few Forge World brass etch eagles to add a little detail.

The Forge World Maximus armour set was used as basis for this chaplain using a dark angel book for the right hand and converting his Crozius using a banner icon and a thunder hammer hand. I used a Games Workshop Skull for his head , I might bulk out the head slightly as it might be slightly small but I haven't made my mind up yet.

Please check back soon for more updates, assembly and hopefully some painting. As I can't wait to paint these models. Thanks For Looking!

I would say definitely bulk out the head... Also, what's up with the librarian's hand? Looking forward to seeing more though...

the stuff looks great man, but one problem, only the emporers children where allowed to use the aquila during the crusade but apart from that some awesome work

keep it up mate

Only the Emperor's Children wore it across the entire Legion. Honoured individuals, such as Terran Veterans or decorated officers, could wear it as well.

Edited because I said chapter, not Legion. Woops.

I've always wanted to do something like this! Are they just going to be "tactical" marines for each legion? Or will different legions have different marines? Like World Eaters getting an assault marine, for instance?
