Does anyone know when the necrons and tau will get a new codex?

Tau, possibly in the autumn. Necrons after that, is the current best guess from the limited information we have. The news and rumours section is a good place to look for for these kinds of rumours, by the way, rather than the rules section.

Necrons are supposed to be end of year.
Tau, next year sometime. They got two codices within a year and aren't seen as in dire need of an update (unlike the remaining legacy 3rd ed ones - Necrons and sisters).

Judging from the upcoming black library releases, I would say Necrons are next, with Sisters after that.

Just a guess.
