I kept getting warning messages from AVG and Google Chrome about how Warseer's been infected by something http:// drelarus.cz .cc/QQkFBg... and so on but I ignored it and went to Warseer anyway.

Now some file's been dumped onto my hard-drive thru Adobe Reader and I'm getting Web Attack malware detected prompts from AVG. I guess I'm screwed because I can't find the file and I get an add asking me for my credit card, etc for some software that I can't disable.

Do the admins even realize that Warseer has been hacked? It's a virus bomb for anything who visits the site. Mods and admins please realize your site is distributing viruses and malware to millions of 40k fans.

Well my FireFox just blocked the site and won't unblock it until it's fixed. Good thing I have more than 1 browser.

I think its funny that the OP got a warning both from the browser and his AV program but decided to ignore it. Then get all pissy when he actually got infected.

No, it's a virus bomb for the people who ignore the warnings sent by their browser and antivirus software. Don't ignore the warnings and then complain when bad stuff happens to you. Warseer isn't responsible for the results of your stupidity. You deliberately ignored the warnings, it's your fault as to the results.

Some people never learn.

For some reason, their own stupidity is everyone else's fault.

Virus/spyware/malware blockers are not just there to annoy you with dialog boxes people...

Same thing happened to me late last night (Sat 2nd April) and then everything shut down and I kept getting prompts to download 'MS Removal Tool' for $60. I was very suspicious of this and it appears to be a scam, so I followed the instructions on the following link to remove it:

http://deletemalware.blogspot.com/2011/03/how-to-remove-ms-removal-tool-uninstall.html

There have also been a few threads about it in other forums on Warseer.

Please see the thread here (http://www.warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=299376). Thread closed.

To the OP there is already a thread in this forum here (http://www.warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=299366) as well as the one in the future of Warseer. Please try a search before opening a new thread.
